Creepy reason why you should never have a mirror facing your bed

We're due a little switch-around any way...

A so-called demonologist has laid out the reasons why you should avoid placing a mirror in front of your bed.

In an explainer video posted through TikTok, @psychicleah revealed that the setup of your sleeping space could potentially put you in harm's way... if you believe in those flights of fancy, that is.

Even before we get into the spirit realm side of things, mirrors hold this mystical power in our society and cultures; don't repeat people's names in them (hello Candyman), don't crack them, and certainly don't peer into them at 3am.

But what is Leah's angle?

"I don't think I can actually stress this enough to people... Do not have a mirror facing your bed," she once stated in a warning video.

"You will have unwanted spirits. You will have all types of spirits in your home and you don't wanna be the one that I have to come out to [so I can] clear something low vibrational - typically an entity that isn't particularly nice."

Leah, or 'Lady Afterlife' as she likes to label herself online, went on to claim that if you find yourself restlessly sleeping, it's all down to the mirror's bad juju.

What's even worse is if you've brought a pre-owned mirror into the bedroom, which may be harbouring 'withheld energy'.

"Whatever happened within that person's home - we don't know if it's negative - is coming into your home," added the social media star.

Apparently, she'll regularly receive calls about 'unwanted spirits' in people's residences, but as soon as she spots a mirror, Leah has identified the problem.

As for what she suggests when counteracting these reflective, ghastly terrors, it's all about covering the mirrors to effectively block their portal.

"[What] I suggest you do is you cover the mirror. You can keep it there, [but] cover the mirror with a cloth, blanket, whatever you want," she shared.

"Make sure you're doing protection prayers over that mirror, setting boundaries and you are also saging it. Please, I beg you, sage it. I'm doing this to protect you."

Reacting to her insight on TikTok, one fan concurred while confirming a member of their family had always sworn by the rule.

"My nanny always said to NEVER have a mirror facing your bed!!" they wrote. "If she ever went anywhere to stay for the night she would take it down or cover it up! Also you saying about a second had mirror, I was given one that my dad got from an auction, the bad vibes and distortion that happened when you looked in it were wild! I got rid of it (safely) as soon as I could!"
