Woman makes shocking confession after admitting she cooked and ate her grandmothers ashes

She says her nan will live on through her forever

The ashes of your loved one are something you take pretty good care of. You know, place them on the mantlepiece or in safe place, or even have them made into jewellery so they’re always close by.

But it’s really taking the ‘close by’ to the extreme when you actually put them inside your body.

And this woman shocked radio hosts when she admitted to cooking and eating her grandmother’s ashes. Cheyenne called into a Melbourne breakfast show for its ‘Cashfessional’ segment.

Clueless as to just what madness they were letting themselves in for, the hosts asked her what she would like to confess.

“I ate my nan,” she said. “My nan passed away in August last year and got cremated.

“My family and myself were grieving, so we went over to Mum's one night and we thought to cheer her up again… let's eat nan.”

Yep, it wasn’t just some accidental knock of the ashes into a bowl of food without realising. It seems this woman purposely decided to eat the cremated remains of her departed grandma.

She said she simply popped some of her ashes in a bowl and consumed them. And lads, strap in because it gets more shocking as she goes on.

Cheyenne was pretty blasé as she told the story and continued: “After I did it once, I got Mum to do it because I didn't want to be alone in it. But that's not the only part of the story… this is the part I've told nobody.”

The Aussie woman explained how her brother ‘got out of prison not too long ago’ as the hosts squirmed and let out an ‘oh god’ as they slowly realised what was coming next.

She said the ex-con was coming to stay with her and like siblings do, thought it would be funny to prank him.

Except this takes the brother-sister tricks to the next level.

“I put some of nan’s ashes in the pasta sauce,” Cheyenne said with a little evil giggle down the phone.

Understandably, it seems like the hosts weren’t quite sure what to do with this information but managed to let out a follow up: “Have you stopped eating her?”

And Cheyenne said: “I’ll say yes for your sake… [I eat her] just for fun.”

The woman explained how she feels closer than ever to her gran.

“Nan will live on through me forever.”
