Who Is The FIFA 22 Cover Star?

EA Sports will be bringing us FIFA 22 later this year, but who will be the cover star on the next game?
Unlike EA's Madden 22 and its predecessors, this year's FIFA cover is almost impossible to predict, but we can hazard a pretty good guess.
One thing we know for certain is that the cover won't feature Cristiano Ronaldo, given Konami's PES deal with Juventus.

Lionel Messi feels unlikely, too, given his recent question marks over his future at Barcelona.
We saw Kylian Mbappe front all three versions of the game last season, but expect EA to change things up ahead of this year's release.
With that said, will Mbappe remain the cover star on the next game, or will we see a new face of FIFA?
Who will be the FIFA 22 cover star?
French forward Kylian Mbappe was the cover star of FIFA 21, so it is expected to see someone else on the front cover for FIFA 22.
Borussia Dortmund's goal machine Erling Haaland and young starlet Jude Bellingham are among the players that have been suggested by fans online.
Intriguingly, Haaland is already an EA athlete, so a jump onto the FIFA cover seems like a natural progression.
Or perhaps EA will decide to use someone that makes a big splash at the Euros this summer.
Which players could feature on the cover?
Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund)
The sky is the limit for Norway and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
EA has already signed the 20-year-old as an ambassador, so it is more than likely that the forward will be on the cover of FIFA at some point during his career - will it be FIFA 22?

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold could be one of the next in line if EA decides to use more than one cover star for FIFA 22.
The 22-year-old is widely thought of as one of the top young players in the world and is a crucial player in Jurgen Klopp's first team.

Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid)
Joao Felix, another of EA's prodigies, is starting to show why Atletico Madrid splashed over €100m to bring him to the Spanish capital.
Just like Haaland, Felix has a bright future ahead of him and he is another player in contention to star on the cover of FIFA.

Phil Foden (Manchester City)
Few players have been more influential for their clubs this season than Phil Foden has been for Manchester City.
EA has surprised us before with young guns on their cover, but we think FIFA 22 may come a little early for the 20-year-old.

Who was the last FIFA cover star?
Real Madrid playmaker Eden Hazard was the cover star of FIFA 20 before Kylian Mbappe took centre stage on FIFA 21.
