People have been left pondering what on earth Kid Cudi was puffing on in a video which has since gone viral.
The Grammy-winning rapper, 42, shared a series of clips on social media to offer his congratulations to Kanye West in wake of his fashion comeback on Wednesday (4 November).
Although fans were glad to hear their friendship is now back on track, a few of them were quite distracted by the contents of the blunt he was smoking, as it was emitting a vivid purple hue.
West returned to host his first major runway in over four years earlier this week with his Yeezy Season 01 launch on Beverly Boulevard, which also marked the debut of his fashion brand's flagship store.

He was joined by his wife Bianca Censori, as well as the four children he shares with his former spouse Kim Kardashian - North, 13 Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and five-year-old Psalm - and a host of famous faces.

Stars including Natalie Nunn, who recently dressed up as his eldest daughter for Halloween, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Rich the Kid, Quenlin Blackwell turned up to support West, as did Kid Cudi.
Cudi, who famously rapped about the muse of a 'lonely stoner' in his 2008 track, 'Day 'N' Nite', then finished off his evening by heading home and sparking up a blunt.
The musician shared a series of videos to his Instagram Story, while still donning the grey suit he had worn to the event, where he explained what he thought of West's fashion show to his 3.3million followers.
While taking a prolonged inhale, he said: "Oh yes....Just got in from the Yeezy show. I'm really proud of my big bro, man. Really proud.
"This sh*t was incredible. Incredible. The store is insane, just to see that, knowing he's in this new place in his life and him being able to execute and do it like that....pfft.

"A lot of sh*t going on man, a lot of epic sh*t," Cudi continued. "And I just feel f**king fantastic. This year was the best year of my life man, I swear.
"I have not had a better year than this year. So many blessings came my way and I'm just so thankful."
This footage was later shared to X, where conversation among social media users turned to the contents of Cudi's blunt, rather than the compliments he heaped on West.
One person wrote: "Is that flame purple or am I tripping?"
Another made a joke referencing the colour-changing character in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, saying: "Oh he got that Violet Beauregarde strain!"
Why did it appear purple?
A third asked: "Yo how tf is his blunt purple?"
A fourth commented: "Not bro smoking a nuclear reactor," and a fifth chimed in saying: "Bro is smoking vibranium."
Rather than him smoking a weed strain which has an infamous purple hue, online users came up with a different hypothesis for why the colour of the flame on Cudi's blunt did not appear to be red.
Some social media users suggested that its down to how the camera picked up on the infrared waves that the substance he was smoking emitted.
As NASA explains, some objects are so hot that they also discharge light, like a fire - or a blunt - does.
"Our eyes cannot see these infrared waves but instruments that can sense infrared energy - such as night-vision goggles or infrared cameras - allow us to 'see' the infrared waves emitting from warm objects," it notes.

Cameras can display the infrared waves that aren't visible to human eyes under certain lighting conditions, which might explain why the cherry of Cudi's blunt appeared to be bright purple.
Cudi previously told how he was smoking 'maybe 15 blunts a day' at one point in his life, before he took a two-month hiatus from weed.
"It truly ruled my life," he told People in August last year. "And now I just get after it at night or on the weekends when I have the free time and I'm just relaxing.
"But I'm not smoking nowhere near as much weed as I was smoking before," he added.
"A joint lasts me all day, damn near. So my relationship has changed with that in a major way. And I'm just more interested in being sober a lot more and being more present."
Still, he doesn't mind sparking one up in celebration of one of his friend's achievements.
