Huge changes are coming to FIFA 22 later this year and it looks like the Pro Clubs game mode will be getting its biggest facelift yet.

In the past, EA Sports have revealed a slew of changes to its flagship Ultimate Team and even spent time beefing up Career Mode, much to the delight of fans.

Pro Clubs, on the other hand, has often received the short end of the stick come FIFA's release date and has notably lacked improvements over the years - until now.

Often regarded as the forgotten game mode, Pro Clubs will be full of changes later this year with customisation at the forefront of its operations.

According to leaks, the fan favourite mode will include groundbreaking changes for the first time in years.

In previous iterations of the game, gamers had only been able to build their own player as a male in the game mode, despite the introduction of women's teams back in 2015.

But that's all set to change in the next instalment in the franchise, with the option for male and female pros to be added, leakers claim.

Another change said to be coming to the mode is the ability to make in-game substitutions.

Now, this is something that Clubs fanatics have been asking for for years, and we are hoping to finally see it implemented in FIFA 22.

Let's face it, there's nothing worse than joining up with your mates 30 seconds after they've started a game and having to sit and wait in the lobby whilst they enjoy the banter that comes in a game of Pro Clubs.

As for the club itself, there is now deeper customisation than ever before when it comes to kits, badges and even stadiums.

However, perhaps the biggest new change is the player progression, as you now get XP for every game you play and build your points into new archetypes to help give your team the edge.

So far, all we know about Pro Clubs is what EA have posted on their website.

It reads: "With new customisation options to make your club stand out in the stand and on the pitch, a new player growth system that puts you in control of your Virtual Pro's development, and streamlined social play that makes it easier than ever to find your next game."

Currently, we do not know what any of the new changes will look like, but we cannot wait to find out with a full reveal coming soon, likely to be next month. Watch this space.
