Tiger King season two drops on Netflix today with the streaming giant teasing there's more to the story than originally thought.
Tiger King was the series everybody was talking about during lockdown last year, so it's no surprise that it became one of Netflix's most-watched series of all time - alongside Bridgerton, another lockdown success for the streaming giant.
Is Tiger King based on a true story?
The hit true crime saga tells the story of the notorious big cat zoo owner Joe Exotic, who owned GW Exotic Zoo. Viewers were soon calling it the craziest docu-series they'd ever watched, as it chronicles Exotic's dark and twisted feud with exotic animal rival Carole Baskin.
Exotic is still in prison after being convicted for a number of offences related to animal abuse - not to mention, hiring a hitman to murder Baskin, who tried to expose him for his crimes.
Baskin is the owner of Big Cat Rescue, which, as the name suggests, is a sanctuary for tigers and other big wild cats. After Joe Exotic was put behind bars, she took over his establishment.
Baskin has her own troubled past though, after her husband Don Lewis mysteriously vanished years ago.
Now in its second series, "newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories, and secrets of America's most notorious big cat owners," said Netflix.
"Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness. Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait," teased the streaming giant.
How many episodes are in Tiger King 2?
The first season told the story of Joe Exotic's fall in eight one-hour episodes and the second season is packaged up the same.
Tiger King 2 landed on Netflix for UK viewers at 8am (GMT) on 17th November 2021.
