Venom: Let There Be Carnage is out now in cinemas and one thing we all hate is missing out on an end credits scene at the end of the movie - or equally, waiting for one that never appears. So, we're here to make sure you don't do either of those.

Directed by the man behind Gollum's voice, Andy Serkis, and co-written by Tom Hardy and Kelly Marcel, Venom 2, which has been given R rated status, is set to be another hit with Marvel fans.

Tom Hardy, as you'll know, stars as investigative journalist Eddie Brock and his alien counterpart, Venom. And as you might have guessed by the name, Woody Harrelson - aka Carnage - is back for the sequel.

Having only played a minor role in the first Venom movie, Harrelson comes into his own in the second instalment. Fans suspected Carnage would be playing more of a central part in LTBC as he appeared in the end credits scene.

Is there a post-credit scene in Venom 2?

As is with all of the other MCU movies, Venom 2 does have an end credits scene, which confirms there will be another chapter for Venom.

What is the end credit scene in Venom 2?

The end credits scene at the end of the first Venom basically set fans up for the sequel. As mentioned, Harrelson's character Cletus Kassady/Carnage was introduced, hinting that he would come to the forefront in the next Venom.

Warning: Venom 2 spoilers in the next few paragraphs.

At the end of Venom 2, Eddie and Venom escape to a paradise island where they can't be disturbed and they can work on their communication skills.

During the post-credit scene, Eddie and Venom are curled up in a hotel room together watching TV, when Venom reveals that he's carrying thousands of years worth of knowledge in his head. Eddie asks Venom to share some of this knowledge and Venom obliges.

But then, the room goes dark and begins to shake. Both Eddie and Venom wake up startled and the scenery changes. The TV is now playing the same news clip which featured at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, where news anchor J. Jonah Jameson reveals Spider-Man's identity.

When a photo of Tom Holland's Peter Parker is shown on screen, Venom thinks he recognises him. Venom licks the TV screen with his big slobbery tongue (lovely) and the scene ends there.

So what does this mean? Well presumably, there's a Spider-Man and Venom crossover in future, which is something we're all keen for.

We'll have to wait and see what clues are left in Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home in December to be sure, but Tom Hardy has already expressed his plans to have a face-off with Spider-Man in the third Venom movie.
