Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis will not leave any of their fortune to kids when they die

The couple want their kids to be self-reliant

If you're the child of two mega famous Hollywood stars, you'd imagine that you'd be set for life, right?

While you're obviously not waiting for your parents to pop their clogs anytime soon, you know that when they inevitably do, you'll likely have millions heading into your bank account.

Well, that is unless your mum and dad are Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

According to some estimates, the couple, who have two kids together, are said to be worth an astonishing $275 million (£222m).

However, speaking on the Dax Shepard podcast a few years ago, Kutcher opened up about parenting and what their plans are for the future.

He admitted that with being a celebrity couple, it's important to make sure their children are self-reliant and not spoilt.

And the 45-year-old said they planned on giving their fortune away.

Ashton Kutcher said they plan on giving their money away.

"I'm not setting up a trust for them," Kutcher told the host. "We'll end up giving our money away to charity and to various things.

"Hopefully they'll be motivated to have what they had, or some version of what they had."

The Jobs star went on: "My kids are living a really privileged life, and they don't even know it. And they'll never know it, because this is the only one that they'll know."

However, Kutcher did say that he'd be willing to help his kids out financially if it were a business opportunity.

"If my kids want to start a business, and they have a good business plan, I’ll invest in it," he added. "But they’re not getting trusts."

LADbible has contacted Ashton Kutcher's representatives for a comment.

They aren't the only celebs who've decided not to leave their children money in their will, though.

James Bond star Daniel Craig previously said that he wouldn't be giving his kids anything either.

He and wife Rachel Weisz welcomed their first child together in 2018, and Craig also has another daughter from a previous marriage, who was born in the 1990s.

In an interview with Candis magazine, he was asked about leaving them his money, to which he responded: "Isn't there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you've failed?"

Craig continued: "I think Andrew Carnegie [an American industrialist] gave away what in today's money would be about $11 billion, which shows how rich he was because I'll bet he kept some of it, too."

He added: "But I don't want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful.

"My philosophy is get rid of it or give it away before you go."
