YouTuber MrBeast's video mimicking hit Netflix TV show Squid Game surpassed the original's opening month viewership in its first five days.
Squid Game secured Netflix's title of biggest launch in history with 111 million viewers in its first month, according to DEADLINE.
But MrBeast's video $456,000 Squid Game In Real Life! is already over 111 million views in its first five days since 24 November.

It became #1 TV series in 90 countries because Netflix invested in subtitles and dubbing in over 30 languages.
But MrBeast's lower-cost version has already beaten Squid Game's first month's view-count in under a week.
The 25-minute video depicts a 'real-life' squid game where MrBeast recreated every scene from the original show.

It has even received over 9.7 million likes on YouTube as of 29 November and some calculations suggest MrBeast made back well over the prize money from YouTube advertising fees.
One Twitter user suggested MrBeast had broken the record for most-viewed non-music video in 24 hours.
