Ben Shephard is supposedly worth a cushy $5 million.
Ben Shephard is a television presenter and journalist working for ITV. Ben may be a familiar face for those of you that watch Tipping Point. In October 2021, a video went viral of Ben asking a Tipping Point contestant, “In his epic poems, Homer often refers to nectar as the drink of the gods and which other substance as their food?", to which the contestant replied: “I know he likes doughnuts. I think I'll go with…doughnuts please Ben.”
Originally from Essex, Ben went on to pursue a Dance, Drama and Theatre Arts degree at the University of Birmingham. It was here that he met his wife Annie Perks who was a Philosophy student. They are happily married with two sons.
Initially, Ben wanted to become an actor, and in 2009 that dream partially came true. Ben was cast as the Diagon Alley Father in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Throughout university he worked as a runner for a television crew and was later encouraged by a presenter to give presenting a go. He clearly had a knack for it and went on to present for ITV, BBC, Channel 4 and Sky.
Arguably his most memorable roles have included presenting The Xtra Factor, and co-presenting Who Dares Sings! alongside Denise van Outen. Since 2014, he has also co-presented Good Morning Britain.
Besides TV presenting, he has also dabbled in radio and was a presenter on Magic Radio for their Saturday breakfast show in 2006.
Clearly, Ben is a man of many talents. His achievements are a reflection of his hard work, grit and determination. Aside from his stellar career in journalism, he is a self-professed West Ham fan. According to his official website, he regularly finds time for watersports and is an avid golfer.
