Here is the chilling comment Brandon Lee made to his friends before his premature death while filming The Crow.
The son of legendary actor and martial artist Bruce Lee, the short life and career of his son Brandon has been a source of fascination for many.
After transitioning into Hollywood productions, the 28-year-old was cast in supernatural film The Crow, alongside Ernie Hudson and Michael Massee, in a role which was supposed to be his breakout film.

However, tragedy would strike on set when Lee and Massee were filming an action sequence for the film. In the scene, Lee's character Eric Draven was to be shot and 'killed' by Massee's 'Funboy' with a prop gun.
However, the weapon had been improperly prepared beforehand, leading to Lee sustaining a fatal injury.

He would later die in hospital on 31 March 1993, with his death officially ruled as an accidental shooting due to negligence with no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
Over 30 years on from Lee's death and his story is still widely discussed, with many people drawing parallels between Brandon and his father's deaths, as both men died young and before the release of films which would make them internationally famous.

Add in the fact that Brandon had once told Brad Pitt that he believed he would die young just a year prior to the devastating accident, you can understand why the actor's death has sparked numerous conspiracy theories.

One of the most chilling details in Lee's death was a comment he made to friends about the safety of acting in action movies while filming for The Crow.
During a conversation about what it was like to film stunt sequences, one of Lee's friends questioned whether or not it was fully safe for an actor, prompting the Showdown in Little Tokyo star to reply (via Entertainment Weekly): "No, man... Nobody ever gets hurt doin' that stuff. They've worked it out."
Just weeks later, he would die while performing a stunt on set.

Following Lee's death, The Crow would be finished using stand-ins and released posthumously to positive critic reviews and sits at an 87 percent approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes.
Lee's death would have a lasting impact on the cast, with Massee revealing he never got over the tragedy before his 2016.
During a 2005 interview with Extra TV, Massee explained that he'd been plagued with 'nightmares' of that day on set.

"I've never talked about this on camera. What happened to Brandon was a tragic accident and it's something that I'm going to live with. It's taken me the time it has took - not so much to put it in perspective, but to be able to move on with my life," he said.
