Actor Jason Biggs has admitted he's slightly 'scared' about his kids eventually watching American Pie, the film in which he, um... gets a bit too intimate with baked goods.

Biggs, 42, is best known for his turn as awkward (and horny) teenager Jim Levenstein in the popular American Pie franchise, which first hit screens with the first movie back in 1999.

But now he's the father of two young boys - Sid, seven, and Lazlo, three - and it's dawned on him that, one day, they'll probably be curious about what their dad's most famous for.

Biggs appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan, where host Kelly Ripa spoke about how boys often end up preferring their dads as they get older - saying that, after they've watched films like American Pie, it's all about 'dad time' and their dad being their 'bud'.

Biggs said he was 'looking forward to that', but then suddenly looked a little uneasy.

He explained: "Although me watching American Pie with my kids is probably gonna take on its own little weird thing."

Ripa said won't have to worry about that, as his sons will probably be introduced to the film by their friends when they're in their early teens.

"Do you think that's how my kids are gonna see it for the first time?" Biggs said, concerned.

"Oh boy."

He added: "That's so interesting. I'm so scared about that."

Biggs continued: "My son Sid actually - he's heard of American Pie because he's been with me when people have come up to me, and he's heard about it.

"He's like, 'Dad, I wanna see it!', and we've told him, 'No, it's rated R and, you know... I have sex with a pie'... No, I didn't tell him that!"

He added: "He knows its rated R for bad words, that's his take.

"He said, 'R for bad words, not violence', which is very cute. I mean, the pie might say it's a little violent."

Biggs is married to actor Jenny Mollen, who he starred alongside in 2008's My Best Friend's Girl.

Their first son Sid was born in February 2014, followed by his younger brother Lazlo in October 2017.
