Snoop Dogg made sure to show his appreciation to an Italian restaurant owner who overlooked his card declining.

The rapper, 53, is currently in Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics as a correspondent for NBC, as he's a huge fan of the sporting event.

Fans will remember that the 'Gin and Juice' hitmaker previously popped up at numerous events during the 2024 Paris Olympics - and he's doing the same now, while sporting a few more layers as he's surrounded by snow and ice.

Snoop - real name Calvin Broadus Jr - was spotted hanging out with Michael Phelps, donning a full equestrian kit alongside Martha Stewart to watch the dressage event and even had a stint at carrying the Olympic flame – which of course heavily resembled a blunt.

This year, the 54-year-old is making his return as Team USA's 'Honorary Coach' for both the Winter Olympic and Paralympic events.

While enjoying some downtime in the town of Livigno, Snoop submitted an order to a local restaurant called Cronox.

According to the owner's daughter, Sofia Valmadre, it seems he was seeking a taste of home - as he requested a cheeseburger, chicken wings, chicken nuggets and french fries.

The restaurant's website explains that although the eatery is known for their selection of 'meat and pizzas, you will also find a great choice of dishes and American style specialties'.

But when a member of Snoop's team went to collect the order at Cronox, the card they were paying with declined.

Sofia told NBC: "He sent his staff to take it and to pay, but they couldn't pay. I don't know why, but it wasn't going. So my mother told him that it was okay."

So, Snoop got his grub - and as a show of appreciation for letting him off, he sent a sweet gift to the restaurant owners.

Sofia revealed that the musician sent her family 'five tickets to see the final of the freestyle' as a thank you.

Snoop's supporters praised him for the kind gesture, with one person saying: "Uncle Snoop doing wholesome things! Love it."

Another added: "Aw that's so nice," and a third chimed in saying: "Protect him at all costs."

However, some people were left baffled as to why the card of a bloke who has an estimated net worth of $160 million declined for a takeaway.

One joked: "Whoever that card company was is about to lose a customer. Watch him have a card deal & commercial in 3, 2, 1..."

Snoop Dogg is also likely earning some big bucks for being at the Winter Olympics, if his past wages are anything to go by.

He was previously paid a whopping £390,000 ($500,000) each day for his appearances in Paris, which meant he made a cool £6.6 million ($9million) for all of his hard work, according to NBC.
