Aimee Lou Wood has playfully hit back at Saturday Night Live's ‘mean and unfunny’ skit about her teeth ahead of the UK version of the programme.
The US talk show mocked the Sex Education actor, 32, in a sketch called 'White Potus', a spoof of The White Lotus mixed with politics, last year.
Cast member Sarah Sherman, who played Wood’s character, used exaggerated fake teeth and a caricatured British accent.
Wood herself called it 'mean', while the American comedian sent her flowers as an apology.

“Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the p**s for sure – that’s what the show is about – but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?” Wood wrote on social media at the time.
Now as host of SNL UK, the TV star has responded with her own sketch, and starts off in the writers room to figure out why they are all covering their mouths.
“Hi guys! Oh my God, I’m so excited," she said.

"I cannot wait to get started, you know, especially after the whole thing in America with the teeth. So it’s gonna feel good to just wipe the slate clean.”
After noticing that everyone's mouths are covered, she asks: “Oh my God, have you guys got fake teeth in?
“Wow, this is all just one big setup to humiliate me then?”
"I thought SNL UK would be different, but I was wrong.”
Commenting on Wood's comeback, one viewer wrote: "I LOVE that they addressed that terrible SNL US skit."
"Imagine if Sarah Sherman makes an appearance on the episode," a second added.
Someone else called it a 'great way to sorta tackle the whole SNL US impression incident'.
SNL star felt 'terrible' after the sketch
“I was excited to play her because she’s so iconic, her character is so iconic, and I f**king obviously never meant to hurt anyone’s feelings,” Sherman explained to Vanity Fair.
“Never in a million years did I get into comedy to make anyone upset. I feel terrible that anyone would feel bad.”
"Being in conversation with everything popular culture, there’s such a danger there," she added.

"Sometimes you just don’t realize how it comes across, but you’re put in a position to be engaging with it all the time, because you are a part of a show that’s constantly interacting with culture and popular politics and popular whatever.
"As I get thrown more and more into the show, it’s just this other thing that I have to learn about."
Wood revealed on Instagram that she had received the flowers, writing in the caption: "Thank you for the beautiful flowers."
SNL UK airs live every Saturday night at 10:00 pm on Sky One.
