Anthony Joshua is one of the biggest names in sport so it's something of a surprise to hear that until very recently, he shared a flat with his mum, Yeta.
The former heavyweight world champion is believed to be worth around £238m and the amount in his bank account is only set to get significantly bigger when he takes on Jake Paul live on Netflix next month.
Joshua, who hasn't been in the ring since his defeat against Daniel Dubois back in September 2024, was recently confirmed to be fighting the content creator turned pro boxer.
However, in the 36-year-old's case, it was something far more heartwarming that was keeping him so close to home, as he had to contend with travelling the world and training almost non-stop.

While you see teenage footballers picking up mansions with the first pay cheque they get, Joshua clearly enjoyed the chance to see his mum whenever he could, so set up a home base at his mother's flat in Golder's Green.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain last year, AJ revealed: "I still live with my mum. I realised that when I started training - which I do away from home a lot - that if I'm away for 10 months of the year and then when I get back I've got to do commercial work I realise that if I was to move out I'd never actually see my mum.
"I'm away in various parts of the world for a lot of the time, but my actual base is at home with mum. So I can still wake up and see her and spend time with her when I can."
However, the one-year sabbatical he's taken from boxing in the wake of his defeat against Dubois has clearly given him more time to spend with family, which subsequently allowed him to purchase his own luxury home not far from his beloved mother.

He's certainly saved on rent over the years, having also amassed millions thanks to his success in boxing, and even at London rent prices he's been able to establish something of a property empire over the last year.
Now they're no longer living together, Yeta might even be tempted by watching some more of her son's fights, after he previously revealed that she doesn't particularly enjoy watching him in the ring.
He said: "Sometimes she doesn't show up, she stays behind and she prays a lot. She says she can't really watch her son because she doesn't enjoy it. It's tough for her, of course, but she enjoys the fruits of her labour. I take care of my mum a lot, I love her dearly."
