Ariana Grande's lookalike Paige Niemann has revealed the private DM the pop star sent her after coming across her viral impersonation videos.
For those who haven’t come across Niemann’s work, the content creator has developed an online following thanks to her uncanny resemblance to Grande.
Over the years, Niemann has gone all in on recreating Ariana’s most recognisable looks, from the singer’s iconic brunette ponytail and sharp winged eyeliner, to her blonde Glinda look from the Wicked movie, to the iconic red wig that Grande rocked in her Nickelodeon days as Cat Valentine in Victorious.

While Niemann has genuinely impressed plenty of people with her spot-on Grande impression, the creator has been subject to some hefty backlash over the years.
Some viewers have accused her of taking the impersonation too far, particularly after Niemann launched an OnlyFans account while bearing Grande’s likeness.
Now, Nieman is finally taking the spotlight as herself, in a new documentary series on Apple TV called Turning The Paige.
The series will follow Niemann as she “reclaim[s] her identity after going viral as an Ariana Grande lookalike.”
According to viewers who have already tuned in to episode one, Niemann has shared a private message that Grande sent her after one of her videos exploded online.
The DM dates back to 2019, when the ‘We Can’t Be Friends’ singer responded to a video of Niemann dressed as Grande’s Nickelodeon character Cat Valentine.
In the documentary, Grande’s DM read: "I am flattered and i am sure you’re very sweet. but i just wanted you to know, i looked back a little ways on your page and i think someone should tell you if they haven’t today that you’re very beautiful as YOURSELF. “
The DM reportedly continues: “Without all the make up and trying to make your face look more similar to someone else’s and whatnot. i had to say it because it is the truth. always do what makes you happy of course but if i didn’t say that to you, i’d regret it. you’re beautiful as you are. take care.”

Ever since the docu-series dropped, fans have been reacting to Ariana’s apparent DM to Niemann, suggesting that the pop star is being too nice to her impersonator.
One TikTok user joked: “Ariana way too nice cuz I would have sued and everything.”
Another commented: “genuinely so kind that Ariana took the time to message her after all Paige has done…”
Niemann’s series comes shortly after Grande made a rare public comment about people who impersonate her online.
Taking part in a lie detector test for Variety to promote the film Wicked, Grande’s co-star Cynthia Erivo, asked her: “Have you ever confronted anyone who’s impersonated you?”
Smiling while she considered her answer, Grande replied: “No” before adding that she has wanted to, but “in a fun way”.
