Fans of Bella Thorne thought they were experiencing déjà vu over the weekend after she announced her engagement.
People were left baffled by the former Disney star's social media post about the proposal - given that her fella Mark Emms got down on his knee previously.
Thorne, 27, apparently decided to mark the anniversary of the TV producer asking for her hand in marriage by pulling an epic UNO reverse and having a go at it herself.
She shared a series of loved-up videos and snaps on Instagram on Saturday (16 August) which showed the romantic proposal she had set up for her fiancé.

One depicts the Shake It Up star dropping to one knee in a room littered with flowers and candles before pulling out a ring box and presenting it to Emms.
He appeared to be just as surprised by the gesture as most fans were, as the eyes and mouth of the founder of Emms Productions widened to epic proportions.
Thorne captioned the post: "3 years ago we met, 1 year later he proposed, now 1 year later so did I."
It seems that the actress must have had that much fun the first time round, she fancied giving the whole proposal thing a whirl once again.

The bride-to-be said yes to Bad Vegan producer Emms after nine months of dating when he got down on bended knee with an emerald-cut diamond ring in May 2023.
Less than two weeks later, Thorne had already started wedding planning - telling Vogue that she would love her big day to be at a manor in the UK countryside.
She had even started thinking about her attire for her nuptials, saying: "Every bride does not need one gown, but four!"
And apparently, in Thorne's world, every bride does not need one proposal - they need two, just to make sure.

But some people just can't seem to get their head around why Thorne decided to propose to Emms when the deal has already been done.
One person commented on her post: "If he already proposed why did you do it lol I’m confused."
Another asked: "He literally already proposed to her... why are y’all like this?"
A third joked: "Queen, get up."
And a fourth wrote: "Wtf are you doing."

Others leapt to Thorne's defence, insisting she was merely making it clear the level of love is mutual between her and Emms.
"Comments failed," one said. "Girl power, I love you for this."
A second commented: "What the hell is wrong with proposing both sides? This is toxic femininity ladies."
Someone else added: "I love my man so much id propose to him every year and we’re married. So I get it."

While a fourth laughed: "This comment section is giving mad single energy."
Reacting to the comments on her Instagram Story, Thorne wrote: "The comments on my post are hilarious!!
"Totally split down the middle. Half of u are like let’s not normalize proposing to your partner - other half is like f*** yeah girl power this is the sweetest!!"
