Brooklyn Beckham leaves fans 'disgusted' in latest bizarre cooking video

People were shocked after Brooklyn used an unusual method to make his pasta dish

Brooklyn Beckham has left fans feeling a bit unwell after he prepared a dish using a very strange ingredient.

The eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham, Brooklyn, 26, regularly takes to social media with foodie related content, and had been promoting his hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, when he shared the unsettling video.

While at first, it seemed that Brooklyn was simply sharing a clip about how to make a tasty pasta dish, fans were left in shock when they realised he had decided to boil the pasta in something pretty unusual.

And they weren't impressed.

"Today, I'm going to make some tomato pasta," Brooklyn begins. "Of course, we get some pasta water."

But instead of simply filling the pan up with water from the tap, Brooklyn - who seems to be onboard some sort of yacht in the video - simply dips his pan into the sea and gathers up a load of ocean water instead.

He then chops up tomatoes, fries them in olive oil, adds his hot sauce as well as some seasoning and combines with the spaghetti.

While the dish looked pretty tasty at the end of the video, many were grossed out that Brooklyn had used sea water to cook the spaghetti.

One person wrote: "That’s disgusting using that water."

While another added: "When you are sat on the toilet for the 4th time in 30 minutes you will realise that the source where you got the water from wasn’t the wisest of moves."

A third said: "Don't use sea water! There is a lot of bacteria!!!"

And a fourth added: "Obviously, cooking pasta in sea water where there are boats that dump diesel into the sea and E.coli abounds is not really the best alternative you could have chosen."

Over on Reddit, one post started a debate on whether it was acceptable to cook pasta or rice in sea water.

While some people claimed it was 'normal', others weren't convinced.

One person commented: "I wouldn’t do this now, especially with my proximity to some major industrial water polluters, but my dad’s family used to boil corn in ocean water. I just add a s**tload of salt."

And another said: "Our seas are so polluted now. Often I hear chefs say add enough salt to make it like sea water."

Others took the opposite opinion, with another adding: "I'm a sea kayaker, boater and coastal backpacker so I've actually done this a fair amount.

"We dilute sea water at about a 1:1 ratio with fresh water when cooking pasta. Even when fresh water is precious (which it often is whole camping on the ocean). Pure sea water just sort of ruins the meal, but can work in a pinch."
