Ruth Codd has shared an update with fans after undergoing a second leg amputation.
The actor and Celebrity Traitors star originally had her right leg amputated below the knee at age 23, due to a football injury she sustained as a teenager, which didn't heal properly.
Codd then announced last month that she'd made the decision to have her left leg amputated, revealing the surgery news by sharing a video of herself using a wheelchair at her parents' house.
Recovery from having a limb amputated is typically a 'long, difficult and frustrating process' (per NHS), with patients having to undergo physical rehabilitation.

The Fall of the House of Usher actor has now shared a new update on her recovery process, revealing that she will soon be able to use a prosthetic on the new amputation.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the 29-year-old shared a photo of herself flipping off the camera, alongside the news that she had 'new legs loading'.
"After a brief hiatus, world domination and winding up middle aged white men shall resume as of 10am. New legs loading," Codd captioned the image.
Codd had previously spoken about the extensive recovery process, revealing on social media that she would be unable to use a prosthetic until 'the residual limb' had healed.
"You're just kind of in bed, you can't do anything really," she explained, going on to add that her surgery had been relatively straightforward.
"Everyone thinks it'd be really sore, actually, but it wasn't really for me. My surgeon must have just done quite a good job."

Why did Ruth Codd have her legs amputated?
Explaining why she had her right leg amputated at the age of 23, Codd revealed that she'd broken her leg while playing football at the age of 15. Unfortunately, the injury did not heal properly, leaving the actor with eight years of complications such as 'nerve damage and chronic pain'.
"My whole life revolved around trying to heal my leg. For years, I didn’t see it getting any better," she wrote in The Irish Examiner.
"I was stuck in a really bad mindset and I was p***ed off at life. When I made the decision to amputate it, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. I could get on my life."
When it came to getting rid of her left leg, Codd revealed the joints in her remaining foot had been damaged by years of relying on crutches.
"It's gone past the point where they can do anything about it," she said in an interview with FFTV, adding that issues with her foot made working 'more difficult'.
