Celebrity Traitors star Ruth Codd has shared a health update with fans following her second leg amputation.
It comes six years after she first had surgery to remove her leg below the knee due to a football injury which she sustained as a teen. As it didn't heal properly, the Irish actress endured years of complications, pain and endless hospital trips as a result.
Codd - who shot to fame on TikTok before scoring the role as Anya in Netflix’s The Midnight Club - is now recovering after her second below knee amputation.
In a video shared to social media, she explained: "Good news, we've had a full-circle moment. I'm back making TikTok content in my parents' house.

"Bad news, I can't do it upstairs, because I've just had my second below-knee amputation...there's a lot to unpack for everyone involved."

She then introduced her 206,000 followers to her 'new whip' - a wheelchair - which she has nicknamed 'Fat Tony'.
"She has the top speed of f**k all per hour, especially if there’s a step involved," Codd comically added.
The former make-up artist recently revealed her motivations for undergoing her second amputation during an appearance on Under Your Skin with Grace Neutral.

Codd said the gruelling operation would benefit her 'quality of life', as the joints in her feet have been 'destroyed' over the last eight years due to her reliance on crutches.
"It's just that this foot, I was on crutches for the bones of eight years and the way I used my crutches I was always kind of on my tippy toes," the 29-year-old said.
"So the joints in my feet were destroyed by the end of the eight years. And it's just kind of the same thing. It's gone past the point where they can kind of do anything about it.

"I've already had to have all my toes amputated," she added. "So I've no toes, so my foot looks like a little hamburger."

Codd first announced that her toes had been amputated in an Instagram post back in November 2021.
While speaking to tattoo artist Grace, she explained there was no point hanging onto her other leg, as it is 'never going to get any better from this point', and it was also impacting her career.
"They can only kind of stop it from getting worse," Codd continued. "And the amount of health problems and stuff I've had the last year...
"I haven't let it stop me from doing anything, but I feel like it has hindered me and made my ability to do my job more difficult."
She said she reckons she will be 'pretty unstoppable' when she's finally equipped with two prosthetics.

Codd said she was expecting to spend a few days in hospital following the amputation, as it takes up to a month and a half for 'the residual limb to heal'.
Discussing the 'hardest part' of the recovery process, The Fall of the House of Usher actress explained that she is unable to use a prosthetic for several weeks.
She said: "You're just kind of in bed, you can't do anything really. Everyone thinks it'd be really sore, actually, but it wasn't really for me. My surgeon must have just done quite a good job."
Codd explained that the same surgeon who performed her initial amputation was also conducting her second surgery.

The Wexford-born star also touched on her prolonged health battle during her time on Celebrity Traitors, while she has also previously explained how her leg problems first began.
She explained she injured one of her legs while 'messing around' playing footie in school.
"It never healed correctly so until I was 23, I was on and off crutches, getting loads of operations," Codd previously told the Irish Examiner.
"Because of nerve damage and chronic pain, I chose to get it amputated. It took eight years of my life, constantly going in and out of hospital.
"My whole life revolved around trying to heal my leg. For years, I didn’t see it getting any better. I was stuck in a really bad mindset and I was p***ed off at life.
"When I made the decision to amputate it, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. I could get on my life."
