Ryan Gosling made a rare comment about what his preferences are - and more importantly aren't - when it comes to the bedroom.

The Project Hail Mary star has been in a long term relationship with fellow actor Eva Mendes for well over a decade, with the pair first getting together in 2011.

Despite going strong for the past 15 years the Mendes and Gosling have shared little to nothing about their relationship and very rarely make public appearances together.

While the strict privacy clearly works in the couple's favour, Gosling did share a rare insight into their intimate relationship during a recent podcast interview.

Appearing on a recent episode of New Heights, hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, the 45-year-old was asked for his thoughts on recent bedroom comments made by his Blade Runner co star Harrison Ford.

The brothers were of course referring to Ford's recent admission that he has 'of course' listens to his own film soundtracks while being intimate with wife Calista Flockhart.

Whether or not the 83-year-old was joking or being completely serious with the admission is something we'll never know, but it's certainly a comment which has piqued several peoples' interest.

However it would appear that Ford's preferences, which he revealed during a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, are not popular amongst the Hollywood elite, with Gosling promptly shutting down the idea.

"No. That's a hard no," the Barbie star responded. "That's an easy, easy no."

I guess we can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Gosling does not do is best 'I'm Just Ken' rendition when he's in the bedroom...

Preferences aside, Gosling and Mendes' relationship appears to be going very strong, with the couple wedding sometime before November 2022 and sharing two daughters - Esmeralda and Amada - together.

In fact, Gosling revealed that it was his two children who inspired him to take on a role in new sci-fi thriller Project Hail Mary.

Adapted from Andy Weir's 2021 novel, Gosling plays Ryland Grace, an astronaut whose mission to save humanity from devastating global cooling caused by cosmic mould growing on the Sun.

Speaking about the decision to star in the film, which has since become Amazon's highest grossing film debut, Gosling said that he was grateful to make a film which showcased 'what we're capable of as human beings'.

"Being a dad, you know, having two young kids, and I feel like everything is just designed to scare them," he explained during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show.

"I was so grateful just as a father to get to make a story for my kids, maybe not to be too lofty, but for their generation, that kind of reminds you of what we're capable of as human beings."

He added: "It doesn't pretend that there's not going to be problems, but that we can solve them, you know? And anyway, [author Andy Weir] is a unique writer in that way. I think that's why people love this book so much."
