Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has shared his congratulations to Jack Whitehall and Roxy Horner on the birth of their baby and suggested some quirky monikers for the new parents to consider.

Comedian Whitehall, 35, and model Horner, 32, announced the arrival of their child on social media yesterday (6 September) and were quickly flooded with congratulatory messages.

Jack Whitehall and Roxy Horner are now parents.

Sharing a selfie from hospital as Horner cradled their newborn tot, the Travels With My Father star penned: "Well this just happened! Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn’t have even imagined.

"In awe of my partner Roxy Horner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever."

The heartfelt post continued: "So excited to have started a family of my own. Having vowed I’d never be that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid.

"I also wore skechers to hospital, I think I must accept I am a full-blown dad now."

The new parents have been dating since 2020.

Horner also shared the news of their baby's arrival with a heartwarming photo of her kissing her child on the head and referred to them as the 'love of my life'.

Whitehall and Horner are yet to share the name and gender of their new arrival, but the 35-year-old first-time-dad has shared some name suggestions.

He teased: "Name wise after this weekend I think ‘rice, rice, baby’ has a nice ring to it."

Jumping on the bandwagon, his Jungle Cruise co-star Johnson has also suggested some names for the youngster.

"Rock, DJ, Dwayne or Dwanette... all amazing names!" he joked.

"Congratulations brother to you and amazing mama!!"

Other celebs such as BBC Radio 1's Melvin Odoom, Pixie Lott, and Jamie Redknapp have also sent their congratulations.

Whitehall and Horner have been dating since 2020 and announced earlier this year that the they were expecting a baby.

While they're both British, the pair met on separate trips to Australia.

The comedian has admitted that dating someone who is in the industry that he is can be 'stressful', but praised Horner for being 'accepting'.

In a previous interview with The Sun, Whitehall said: "Roxy definitely gets a veto. She can be a tough crowd for my brand of humour but, touch wood, thus far she has been very accepting of me doing routines about her private life on stage.

“It is a blessing she hasn't said no to anything yet. Dating a comedian can be stressful because they go up on stage and tell a load of strangers all about your private life for the sake of comedy.”
