Chris Brown arrested at five-star hotel after incident at London nightclub

The Met Police travelled to Manchester to arrest the singer

It is reported that Chris Brown has been arrested at a five-star hotel after an incident at a London nightclub.

Metropolitan Police detectives travelled to Manchester where they arrested the American singer in the early hours of this morning (15 May) at The Lowry Hotel.

The 'Beautiful People' singer reportedly flew into Manchester Airport yesterday afternoon on a private jet. It's said that after finding he was in the country, detectives from the Met went up to arrest him.

He is set to start the UK leg of his Breezy Bowl XX European tour in the northern city in a month's time.

The alleged incident took place in 2023 with Brown arrested 'on suspicion of grievous bodily harm'. It is alleged the star assaulted producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London.

Diaw has previously alleged that Brown launched an unprovoked attack at him while the star attended one of Tape's Dirty Martini club nights.

The Met Police said in a statement to the LADbible Group: "A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

"He has been taken into custody where he remains.

Brown was on a worldwide tour at the time of the alleged incident and was said to be celebrating the UK dates of his Under the Influence shows at the trendy London nightclub.
