Celebrity Traitors star Maya Jama has spoken out after her major slip-up went unnoticed on last night’s episode, as it was quickly overshadowed by a more shocking revelation.
The penultimate episode of this year’s Celebrity Traitors aired last night and featured more twists and turns than a day out at Alton Towers.
During tense scenes at the roundtable, Traitors Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny came in for some serious heat from the Faithfuls who appeared to finally be onto something.

But the whole thing quickly proved too much for Acaster who cracked under the pressure and held his hands up to being a Traitor.
The moment became a roundtable first and saw Acaster break the 'Traitors Oath', which promises to 'keep your identity and the identity of your fellow players a secret'.

It also saw him swiftly banished from the castle, after which he admitted that he was ‘glad’ the Faithfuls had turned up the heat, encouraging him to come clean about who he truly was.
While the bombshell disclosure left everyone at the roundtable, and viewers at home, with their jaws on their floor, Acaster’s admission wasn’t the only time a Traitor potentially outed themselves.
Earlier on in the episode, while the celebrities were sitting around the breakfast table, Love Island host Jama made a fairly sizeable slip-up during a toast.
As she raised her glass to clink ‘cheers’ she accidentally toasted ‘to killing them’ before quickly realising her mistake and correcting herself by saying: "To banishing them, even."
Somewhat incredibly, the moment appeared to go completely unnoticed by her fellow contestants, including Michael Sheen who was sat right beside her.
However, the moment did not go unnoticed by viewers at home, with one taking to X to write: “Maya? Toasting to killing them? Oh if the Faithfuls let this go, they are even more finished.”
Another viewer said: “Celebrity Traitors Maya made so many slip ups tonight! First toasting ‘to killing them, I mean banishing them’ at breakfast. Then saying to Kenny while they were stood with Michael Sheen at midnight ‘see you later’. I think she’s a goner tomorrow.”
A third wrote: “Did Maya say, ‘killing them’? Her slip ups are crazy.”
Jama has since responded to the slip-up on X, sharing a post from a viewer that read: "to killing them" ~ @MayaJama” alongside several crying-laughing emojis.
Commenting on the post, Jama shared her own string of laughing emojis and wrote: “By this point I was so tired the Traitor was dropping out of me.”
But Jama needn’t feel too bad, because eagle-eyed viewers also noticed King Kenny made a mistake, too.
During the roundtable viewers caught the moment Kenny said ‘as a Traitor myself’, which apparently none of the others spotted at the time.
Basically, the whole episode was slip-up central and we’ll find out during tonight's final episode if all of those little mistakes genuinely did go unnoticed or if there are some Faithfuls who are simply biding their time.
Celebrity Traitors returns tonight on BBC One at 8pm.
