When you follow an A-Lister on social media, most of us never imagine we’ll meet them in real life.

However, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson decided to surprise one of his Twitter followers - Themba T L Gorimbo - in a seriously heartwarming moment earlier this week.

The Black Adam star visited the UFC Fighter after learning that he had just $7 (£5) in his bank account after his first fight.

Seriously though, you're gonna need tissues when you hear the Zimbabwean’s inspiring story. (Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry)

The heartwarming moment happened at a Miami gym.

If you are not familiar with the UFC star, Gorimbo is a relatively new fighter and only secured his first professional fight in February.

Despite his grit and determination, he lost his debut bout to AJ Fletcher and had about $7 (£5.44) in his bank account left.

Rather than give up, Gorimbo managed to secure a second fight against Japan’s Takashi Soto and won.

Having achieved his dreams, he opted to sell his gloves and trunks, using the $7,000 (£5,364.28) he earned to install a vital water pump in his village.

His generosity is even more touching, considering the athlete was sleeping on a couch at his gym at the time.

Upon hearing this, The Rock reached out over social media and offered to support the incredible 32-year-old.

A month later, the A-lister made a surprise visit to the Miami gym – where an unsuspecting Gorimbo was giving an interview.

The heartwarming moment was captured on film.

Sneaking up on the UFC star, Johnson is clearly just as excited to meet the athlete.

It’s hard not to be overcome with emotion, as the clip ended with the pair having a huge hug and Gorimbo tearing up as he meets his mentor.

The Rock even shared the special moment on Twitter, with a clip of the heartwarming embrace and a lengthy caption about the aspiring athlete.

Describing their meeting, he told his followers that it had been a ‘very good and very special day’.

Understandably, the short video has gone viral on the platform and has been seen by over 9 million people after being uploaded yesterday (July 27).

We guess this is why he’s played so many action heroes, he’s clearly a good guy.
