Elliot Page says he hasn't been offered any new roles after appearing in The Odyssey
Elliot Page has revealed that work isn’t flooding in, despite him appearing in one of the year’s biggest movies.
Page earned rave reviews for his performance as Sinon, an Ithacan soldier, in The Odyssey alongside Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattison.
The movie is the second-highest grossing of the year and has generated serious Oscar buzz.
So, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the 39-year-old has been inundated with work since it was released, but he recently revealed that isn’t the case and he currently isn’t working on anything.

During an interview with On Film…With Kevin McCarthy, Page was asked by the host what his next role was and added: “I imagine you’re getting a zillion calls after this movie.”
However, Page replied: “No, Kevin, I’m not. So, let’s... if someone wants to call me…”
McCarthy was clearly surprised by the admission and asked if Page really didn’t have his next project lined up, to which he answered: “Not really.”
A quick look at Page's IMDb page appears to confirm what he's said, with his most recent role being the voice of Dusky in the upcoming animated movie Naya Legend of the Golden Dolphin, which has recently finished production.
Although he may not know where he’s headed next, Page said he’d love to do ‘good work’ and feels that he's at a time in his career when he could.
The Odyssey was Page’s second time working with Christopher Nolan having previously appeared in Inception in 2010 - a decade before his transition.
Recalling the differences between the two movies, Page said he enjoyed making it but admitted to feeling ‘uncomfortable’ while filming Inception.
“I don't know if this is weird or too personal, but when you do ask me about [Inception], I had such a great time being in that movie,” he said on the podcast.
“I had such a great time working with Christopher, but I was also personally really uncomfortable.”
Page continued: “But I feel now, because that's removed, and I don't have to deal with that when I'm acting in my performances, I am like… I feel like I could maybe do some of my best work now.”
Speaking during a Comic-Con panel with Josh Horowitz in 2025, Page explained that, now that he has transitioned, working on the project was even better than working on Inception.
He said: “I was so excited to be thought of and to be asked to come back to work him.
“To come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable.
“To get to have a Chris Nolan experience again now meant so much to me selfishly.”
Page, who got himself absolutely ripped to star in The Odyssey, said making the movie felt like a ‘full circle’ moment and that he was left in tears when filming on the flick wrapped.
“I think that just feeling more embodied and connected, that's what weirdly lets you let go more, you know?” he said.
“Knowing yourself more and embodying yourself more, weirdly, lets you let go more.”
