Rapper Ice Spice has faced backlash over her outfit to the New York City screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants.
The rapper lit up social media with comments when she turned up to the event wearing a white lace Blumarine dress, which was very sheer.
Immediately, people were quick to call her out for her style choice, with some claiming the 25-year-old appeared to miss the mark for the child-focused film event.
One Instagram user wrote: "Dressed like that at a kids premiere is so INSANE!!"

Another added: "Are we just going to ignore the ‘kids’ premiere."
A third asked bluntly: "Where did she think she was going?"

Someone else commented: "So inappropriate to wear to a kids movie event."
However, there were some positive comments from fans about her look, with one writing: "I'm obsessed."
Another said: "No other rap girl serving like Ice Spice right now."
Though, appearing to make a SpongeBob reference, one person joked: "She took the words ‘bikini bottom’ real serious."
As for why Ice Spice was at the premiere, she voices a minor character in the movie and also contributed to the soundtrack with her song, 'Big Guy'.
The celeb is also said to be a SpongeBob fan, and has a track called 'Bikini Bottom' on her 2023 debut album.
During a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the rapper revealed the truth about what it was like to create a track for The SpongeBob Movie.
Ice Spice said: "This was probably the hundredth draft, probably, that finally made it out - that you guys are hearing.
"The whole premise of the film is about SpongeBob becoming, like, a ‘big guy’ and so I had to really incorporate that phrase throughout the song. It all turned out to really work out in the end and I'm just happy that it took this many drafts because it's my favourite one."
The film hits US theatres today (19 December) and will be viewable in the UK tomorrow (20 December) as it takes viewers along to see SpongeBob trying to prove himself as a 'big guy' to Mr Krabs.
It's directed by Derek Drymon, while Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke and Carolyn Lawrence take the lead behind the characters to deliver a fantastic children’s movie.
At the time of writing, the film has achieved an 85 percent critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes.
LADbible Group has contacted Ice Spice's representatives for comment.
