US actor Jamie Foxx has recalled the moment he saw his 'clone' in hospital as he addressed the conspiracy theories that arose following his stroke in 2023.
The celebrity, best known for his role in Django Unchained and Spiderman, as well as his Oscar-winning performance in Ray, was hospitalised two years back after suffering a shock bleed on the brain.
Foxx underwent life-saving surgery upon his arrival and spent nearly three weeks in a coma as his body recovered, and has previously suggested in interviews that his initial reaction was to deny that it had happened.

It was only late last year when the actor revealed what happened to him back in 2023, as the Netflix special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was, was released, as very little information other than that it was a 'medical emergency' was in the public eye at the time.

Unfortunately, when there's a lack of information available, people often love to speculate and this led to some wild conspiracy theories at the time, which Foxx has now finally addressed.
One of the craziest conspiracy theories alleged that Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is of course in ongoing court proceedings which could potentially see him jailed for life, attempted to kill Foxx.
Speaking during The Hollywood Reporter’s Stand-Up Comedy Roundtable, the actor said: "No, Puffy didn’t try to kill me,' Foxx insisted, before sharing his reaction to speculation that he was 'a clone'.

He continued: 'When they [conspiracy theorists] said I was a clone, that made me flip. I’m sitting in the hospital bed, like, “These b***-a** mother******s are trying to clone me.
"And then I saw me walk into my room, but I’m white, so I see the white me. The next morning, I said, 'I know what’s up, you’re trying to clone me and make me white so I’ll sell better overseas.'"
After this joke, which perhaps wasn't the best circumstances to make one in given he'd suffered a serious medical episode, a psychiatrist asked if he was 'all right'.

Foxx, then, replied: "Am I all right or am I all white? I saw you trying to get the white motherf*****g Jamie Foxx and it ain’t going to happen."

It was, perhaps unsurprisingly, at this point, that they decided to lower the actor's medication.
Fortunately, Foxx was able to make a full recovery and returned to the set of Netflix film Back in Action, alongside Cameron Diaz and Andrew Scott, ahead of the film's release earlier this year.
