Jeremy Clarkson has revealed the nauseating side effects he experienced while taking Ozempic for weight-loss.

The Clarkson's Farm and former Grand Tour presenter has been open about the forced lifestyle changes he's had to make in recent years, with the 64-year-old previously disclosing that he underwent emergency heart surgery after being 'days away from death' last October.

In an effort to shave off the extra pounds and embrace healthier living, the TV presenter has turned to appetite suppressing supplements for support — with mixed results.

Writing about the topic in his The Times column, Clarkson explained that he'd suffered from extreme nausea while taking Ozempic two years ago.

"My body lost the ability to deal with gluttony but once the initial enthusiasm had worn off, my mind still wanted to breakfast on Cadbury Fruit & Nut," he wrote.

"This meant I was sick a lot."

Ozempic was originally created to help type 2 diabetes patients. However it has since become popular among people looking to lose weight.

The availability of the drugs for weight loss is currently under review, with Wegovy available through limited specialist services.

Mounjaro was also approved for usage by NICE in December 2024 and is expected to be rolled out in a similar manner.

You'd think the nausea would be enough to put Clarkson off his food, but he unfortunately had the opposite experience and would gorge on more treats afterward.

"After six months, having put on half a stone, I gave up," he explained.

Since ditching Ozempic, Clarkson has opted to try Mounjaro and has been able to find better results. Although the presenter admitted he is struggling with not being able to enjoy his favourite meals.

"You find yourself living a minibar existence," he wrote, joking that a 'handful of sunflower seeds' would be enough to keep him full.

"That’s not living. That’s existing."

The weight-loss drug admission comes just months after Clarkson revealed the details of his emergency heart operation, previously writing that wants to 'do everything in my power to not die' after becoming a grandfather to his daughter Emily Clarkson's two children.

"I have decided that it is so wonderful that I want it to go on for as long as is humanly possible," he wrote in a previous column, even going as far to disclose that he'd taken up reformer pilates in a desperate attempt to get fit.
