Jesy Nelson has explained the real reason she and her fiancé have split just four months after they became engaged.
The former Little Mix singer confirmed her split from Zion Foster last month following four years together, having also gone through a traumatic pregnancy that saw her twin daughters born prematurely in May of last year.
Nelson discovered during her pregnancy that the twins had developed a rare condition known as twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome in the womb.
TTTS occurs when the twins rely on one placenta, as well as a network of blood vessels that supply both oxygen and nutrients while in the womb, instead of having one each.

This can lead to the vessel connections within the placenta not being evenly dispersed, which can lead to an imbalance of blood exchanged between both babies.
Although she suggested that the TTTS had 'cleared up' when they were first born, the performer gave an emotional update in January to confirm that her daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe both have SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy).

There was a huge outpouring of support for the 34-year-old as she came to terms with the news that her twin girls might never be able to walk, and there was even more trauma to come after her and Foster called off their long relationship.
She had called the R&B singer her 'best friend' in the September 2025 announcement, but has now confirmed the real reason why they'll no longer be romantically involved, insisting that the girls will remain their 'main priority' as they commit to co-parenting.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: "We have been through such a traumatic experience and for us, our girls are our main priority and our main focus.
"We want to give them the most positive, happy and uplifting time and energy and because we have both been through such a traumatic experience, the energy wasn't right between us, which is understandable.
"We are still friends and we are still united in co-parenting our daughters, they are our main focus, that's all we can do, be the best possible parents we can right now."

Nelson also shared the latest news on her twins after her tearful update in January, suggesting that they are 'really well' which is clearly her priority right now.
She continued: "I am taking each day as it comes because I feel like right now, especially with the girls' diagnosis, it's all I can really do.
"If I try to look too far into the future, I will drive myself crazy.
"The girls are doing really well and they're happy, that's all I can really ask for."
Nelson and Foster's relationship will also be one focus in her upcoming Prime Video series Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, as well as her rollercoaster pregnancy journey in 2025 and the subsequent birth of her babies.
