Keri Russell has opened up about her steamy on-set antics with her partner and co-star Matthew Rhys.
The celebrity couple, who have been together for 13 years, used to have in-costume sex 'all the time' while filming The Americans.
“We were falling in love and staying up all night and having sex all the time and just wearing disguises, like, I’m ******* crazy wigs and wearing pearls,” the 50-year-old recalled during her appearance on Chelsea Handler’s podcast Dear Chelsea.
“When have you ever worn pearls and [been] ******* in trailers and ******* everywhere,” she continued. “I mean, it was insanity. It was so fun and sneaky, and sexy, and so good.”

During the podcast, The Diplomat star revealed why the duo, who share a 10-year-old son, aren’t planning to get married any time soon.

“I’ve had a big party, you know. I get to dress up all the time, and I know for a lot of people, marriage is something different,” she said.
“People used to be married to have a credit card. We can have credit cards now. I don’t need my last name to go away.”
Russell also took a moment to explain why Rhys, 51, didn’t give her a mention during his two acceptance speeches at the 2026 Emmys Awards.

Rhys won the award for lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie for The Beast in Me, and the lead actor award for comedy series Widow’s Bay.
Because he was particularly nervous about doing a speech, Russell said she told him: “Take me off your plate. You don’t have to thank me; I know you love me, take me off your plate.”
Accepting the award on stage, Rhys dedicated his second win ‘to the great and good people of Wales, who were as much a nurturer as anyone else’.
“We are a small but mighty nation. This is incredible,” he said, adding ‘Diolch yn fawr iawn’, which means ‘thank you very much’ in Welsh.
