Sex surrogate Saurora Grace has explained the reality of her job and how it differs from 'standard sex work.'
A sex surrogate, or surrogate partner, is trained professionally to help individuals who struggle with sex confidence or intimacy overcome their problems.
They don't work alone, though, with the process also involving a licensed therapist.
James, a man who was bulled throughout his life for having cerebral palsy to the point where he stopped leaving the house as a child, shared on This Morning earlier this week how working with a sex surrogate was 'extremely life-changing'.

Speaking in the same interview, his surrogate Saurora explained the reality of a job that appears to be becoming more of a necessity.
"Sex surrogacy is all about the intention behind it. So it's more holistic," she told This Morning presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

"There's a more of a therapeutic aspect to it. It's all about connection, intimacy, and literally seeing and hearing the person. Like, a lot of us all want to be seen and heard as human beings, and so that is ultimately what it is.
"Obviously, you do have, like, your standard sex work, which is just come in, have sex, and leave.
"But we do a lot more to do with connection, intimacy, seeing and hearing, and helping him to understand that because he's got a disability, it doesn't make him [James], you know, any different from anybody else.
"He's just the same, and he deserves to have a loving relationship and, you know, deserves to have sex and a juicy lifestyle."
Though Saurora admits the profession is still lacking official regulation, she encouraged viewers to research the therapeutic process for themselves.

"It's a very, very grey area. There's no regulations with this," she said.
"What I say to people is educate yourself. Ask the questions. Don't be scared to ask and what we've been taught is not the truth. Come and speak to me about it.
"I'll tell you what it is, I'll show you what it is. It's not scary, it's beautiful."
Sex surrogate reveals the only people she will not work with
Saurora went on to reveal that she happily works with all genders, from people aged 18-90.
However, she made it clear there is one line she will never cross.
"The only people I don't help and people I don't see are people who are disrespectful," she revealed.
"I get a load of trolls and everything on social media. I won't speak to anyone who's disrespectful. Other than that, I'll work with anyone and everyone. All genders and a lot of disabled people.
"It's actually becoming more disabled people that are reaching out to me which is amazing and I have a lot of parents and carers reaching out to me. I had a client the other day who came with his nan!
"His nan came in and started taking pictures of me and him in the bedroom, I was like 'oh my god this is mad!'
"I literally help anyone from the age of 18 to the age of 90. I had someone reach out to me who's 87 and said 'I'm really, really struggling, I need your help.' I was like: 'I'll happily help you.'"
