Lena the Plug has broken her silence after reports emerged claiming she had filed for divorce from husband Adam22 and claims it is a case of identity theft.
Yesterday, it was reported that Lena (real name Lena Nersesian) filed divorce documents in Los Angeles on 1 June, which also happens to be her birthday.
The documents, which were first seen by TMZ, stated that Lena was requesting full legal and physical custody of their five-year-old daughter as well as half of the couple’s $1.1 million entertainment studio.
The filing went on to claim that Lena lives off $3,000 monthly spousal support from Adam22 (real name Adam John Grandmaison) and that they had split back in April.

When the news was first reported, fans were left confused - not least because the pair were still being friendly on social media.
And Adam appeared to be poking fun at the situation with his Instagram updates.
Some folks even accused the couple of making it up, prompting Lena to state on social media that it was not a publicity stunt.
Now, she’s shared the real truth behind the divorce, and it’s absolutely bizarre.
“About a month ago, I opened my mailbox and discovered that someone had been repeatedly attempting to file for divorce on my behalf using forged signatures,” she said in a post on Instagram
“It was incredibly unsettling.

“I became even more concerned when I realised the name on the filing matched the same person who had previously requested multiple wellness checks on me. Based on guidance from law enforcement, I filed a police report for identity theft.
“Unfortunately, that did not stop the situation.
"Somehow, the filing was eventually accepted, and now I have to hire an attorney to correct a legal process that I never initiated.”
She went on to confirm that she and Adam weren’t splitting and that things were very rosy in their marriage.
“For anyone wondering: I am not getting divorced. I love my husband, and I love our life together.
“My genuine belief is that the person responsible thinks they are helping me because they have been misled by someone online pretending to be me. This situation is RIDICULOUS and I can’t believe it’s real life.”
In a video alongside the caption, she also hit back at various claims made in the fake-filing, stressing that she has ‘access to all her finances’ and pointing out that on 1 June she'd been celebrating her birthday and not traipsing to the courthouse.
While the situation is bizarre, it’s also very messy for Lena and Adam who are now wondering how they’re going to undo this.
In a comment she added: “There was no stunt. Now I have to hire a lawyer to help me get this dismissed.”
