There’s been some wild conspiracy theories circulating about Leonardo DiCaprio and his baseball cap.
And no, I’m not talking about why it took so long for him to finally bag an Oscar or his alleged age preference when it comes to dating women.
But people have been trying to figure out the ‘real reason’ why the Wolf of Wall Street actor always seems to be covering his face in public.
Now, it’s worth pointing out here that he’s got his own right to privacy, and it’s perfectly fine to not want yourself plastered all over the place by the paparazzi (I can’t imagine anything worse, to be honest).

But DiCaprio has been spotted in a number of public places, like attending the big Bezos wedding, and shielding his face.

So, it’s only natural that many fans have become curious about just what the 50-year-old is hiding, if anything.
At the celebrity-studded wedding in Venice, for example, DiCaprio covered his face and wore a baseball cap. And this has added to the conspiracies that it might not actually have been the film star after all.
Yeah, like I said, wild theories.

One fan speculated on Instagram: “I guess that is his doppelganger,” as another questioned: “Are you sure that's him? I mean, he's hiding his face. Maybe it's someone else.”
Others ‘bet’ he was using a ‘double’ instead of attending the A-list wedding himself.
It’s not a new technique from the star either, he’s been seen plenty of times shielding himself from cameras with a baseball cap and even pulling up his puffer jacket to cover his face
So, you know, there is also just simply the theory that DiCaprio doesn’t like getting papped. I mean, there was a time in 2013 when he covered his face with one of those black Venetian masks – real hiding.

The actor has always been very private about his personal life and previously spoke about the impact of becoming a famous actor.
“I got the one opportunity doing This Boy’s Life with Robert De Niro. I watched his work, realised the calibre of actor that he was and said to myself: ‘I will never squander this opportunity.’ So since then, a lot of other stuff comes hand in hand with that,” he explained to The Guardian.
“The complete loss of your private life. And you know what, a lot of people have to deal with a lot harsher things than having their private life be public knowledge. That’s just one of the byproducts. I feel too lucky to do what I do to sit here and complain about it. It’s just one of the things you have to accept and you adapt.”
