Fans think that Jennifer Lawrence has made a sneaky dig at Leonardo DiCaprio’s highly publicised dating history in a new episode of Variety’s Actors on Actors in which the pair interviewed each other.
Lawrence and DiCaprio both appeared on the film show to promote their newest films, One Battle After Another and Die My Love, with both celebs in the running for the 2026 Oscars.
The pair have worked together before on the Netflix film Don’t Look Up and are set to star in Martin Scorsese’s next film, so it’s fair to say they know each other well.
As part of the discussion though Lawrence made a comment that fans online have taken as a sly dig at DiCaprio over his past dating history.

DiCaprio’s relationships have been the focus of much social media discussion in the past, particularly the fact that many of his girlfriends have tended to be younger than him.

The 51-year-old’s current girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, is 27, and his previous girlfriend Gigi Hadid, was 30 at the time of them dating.
Prior to this however he dated multiple women consecutively who were under the age of 25 while in his 40s.
Lawrence made a comment that many think was a dig at this in the interview, saying: “I really loved seeing you be a dad in One Battle After Another. I’m so sad that you don’t have a teenage daughter, you look great with one.”
One fan posted the clip on X, spawning comments joking that Lawrence may have been actually referring to his dating history with the comment.
A viral quote tweet said: “She has trolling down to a professional art form holy s**t.”
A reply to this said: “I’m crineeee she dragged his ass so nicely.”
Others pointed out the uncomfortable fact that Chase Infiniti, who plays his teenage daughter in the film, is only two years younger than his current girlfriend Ceretti.
DiCaprio has never commented directly on the speculation around his love life, but has made comments alluding to it.

He told Esquire when asked last year about turning 50: “It creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time.
“Being more upfront and risking having things fall apart or risk the disagreements or risk going your separate ways from any type of relationship in life—the personal, professional—it’s that you just don’t want to waste your time anymore. You have to just be much more upfront.
“It’s almost a responsibility because much more of your life is behind you than it is ahead of you.”
DiCaprio has also spoken about feeling emotionally younger than his actual age, also stating that he ‘turned emotionally 35 last year’.
The actor also spoke in the interview with Lawrence about how he joined Hollywood at a very young age, starting auditioning at 12.
Speaking about how they both did sitcoms at a young age, DiCaprio said: “I did one year on Growing Pains, then I got the movie This Boy’s Life, which was my first starring role.
“They were so incredibly awesome to me because I think that we were going to do another year on Growing Pains, and the late great Alan Thicke and everyone got together and said, 'Let the kid go do this.'”
“It was a really an amazing moment.”
