While wading through her heartbreak, Lily Allen was dealt another brutal blow - being banned from Hinge.
The singer, 40, opened up about the difficulties she has encountered on dating apps while window shopping in the wake of her split from David Harbour.
She got hitched to the Stranger Things actor, 50, in Las Vegas in September 2020, but reports emerged late last year that the couple had called time on their marriage.
Allen penned an album, West End Girl, about the scandalous factors that supposedly contributed to their split - such as Harbour allegedly having a three-year affair.

The 14 songs tackle subjects such as cheating, open relationships and sex addiction, so it's fair to say the pop star wasn't shy about airing her dirty laundry to the world. However, it's not entirely autobiographical, as Allen admitted: "Some of it is based on truth and some of it is fantasy."
Despite her breakup, it seems the mother of two believes that there are still plenty of fish in the sea.

Since she and Harbour went their separate ways, Allen has been checking out the talent on dating apps like Raya and Hinge. But unfortunately for the 'Madeline' hitmaker, the latter one ended up showing her the door.
She described her experience of the jungle that is digital dating as 'awful', adding: "Especially if you're going through heartbreak."

Speaking to Interview, Allen said: "There is nothing more depressing than hundreds of people that are nothing like the person that you're missing. It's just like, 'No, that's not him. That's not him. That's not him'."
The Brit Award-winner said she isn't really in the market for another famous fella, although dating people who aren't in the spotlight is also quite difficult for her.
"When I go on dates with other people, there’s a bit of a barrier in terms of...not so much here, but in England, it’s a bit of a novelty to be on a date with me," Allen said. "To want to get past that, I have to really, really be interested in that person."
Hence why she was on Hinge, as Allen was scouting out potential suitors who didn't have celebrity status.
But her stint on the dating app didn't last too long, as she claimed that she got banned from swiping for supposedly 'impersonating' herself.

Allen explained: "I'm like, 'I can prove that I'm that person'. They're like, 'You'll need to send us your ID'. And I’m like, 'Actually my name and the name on my ID aren’t the same'."
As the singer was born Lily Rose Beatrice Allen, this apparently proved to be an issue when verifying her identity with Hinge.
Although she ran into some issues on Hinge, the music star has found success on dating apps before - as she and Harbour actually met on Raya.
Discussing how their love blossomed on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2023, Allen explained: "It was the first time I'd been on this dating app.

"I was scrolling through and landed on David's profile and pressed accept. I didn't know who he was. I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show because he was wearing a policeman's uniform.
"It was a still from Stranger Things...I'd never seen Stranger Things. I don't even know what I was looking for. It was just something to do on holiday - swiping. It's a bit of fun."
Clarifying her current relationship status, Allen told Interview: "I’m not in a relationship, but there are some people that I meet up with."
