Maya Jama shares brutal response after ‘confirming’ relationship with Premier League star on Insta

Maya Jama has shared a brutal statement on Instagram after she seemingly ‘confirmed’ her relationship following weeks of rumours.

It’s been claimed for a decent bit of time that the Love Island host is dating a Premier League star.

And she seems to have just maybe acknowledged that publicly as she filmed herself in the back of a car with Manchester City centre back, Ruben Dias, and shared it to Instagram.

Followers of Jama will know she often takes to Stories with insights of her daily life, frequently featuring videos from the back of cars as she chats or sings along to tunes.

But obviously, sharing a clip of Dias for the first time led to an absolute frenzy as the 30-year-old has kept her dating life pretty private, even when reports have fixated on it.

This then led to her later issuing a response to Instagram as her supposed ‘confirmation’ of the relationship went viral.

Neither Jama nor Dias have actually outright confirmed they are dating but this video added to previous ones of the pair seems to be enough for everyone else.

In the clip, she was keeping things humorous as she revealed paparazzi were following the pair around while they went out for food.

“We’re currently being followed by a van of paps,” she said in the video yesterday (13 May)."When we came out of the restaurant, they were like spread across the road and we got straight in the car so they didn't get us."

Jama said with the photographers following: “I'm in half a mind to just give them a f***king show, and the other half is hide."

Dias could be seen sitting alongside her, looking back at the paps as they were driven away. She added in the caption that she has ‘posted the food pics’ once they had already left the location.

And in a now deleted post to her Stories, Jama wrote last night: “God forbid a girl try beat the paps to it. My bad though I actually forgot social media is not a reasonable place.”

Gary Lineker (of all people) previously seemed to confirm the pair’s relationship during a broadcast for Baller League, as the star manages one of the teams.

Jama was having a bit of back-and-forth with Micah Richards when the MOTD host told Richards to stop ‘flirting’ and convince Jama’s boyfriend to play for their team.

Both sports presenters chuckled at the comment, while Jama appeared mortified and told the pair to 'Get out'.

"This is why I don't talk to old people," she joked to the camera. "They're so weird."
