Mia Khalifa revealed what ISIS sent her after receiving death threats for controversial porn video

She says the scene caused an instant avalanche

Former Pornhub star Mia Khalifa revealed what ISIS apparently sent her after she claimed to receive death threats from them.

Now 32, Khalifa has huge success on OnlyFans with millions of followers across social media. But her time in the industry hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing – even with only three months spent in making porn films.

Khalifa, whose real name is Sarah Joe Chamoun, ended up being the most searched person on Pornhub, pretty much as a result of that controversial video.

Her first ever porn movie caused international headlines and she’s said to have long lived with the repercussions since.

The influencer has gone on to open up about being ‘exploited’ by the industry as she was left ‘out of control’ of her image and reputation as a result.

In case you’re (somehow) not exactly aware of the said video, her most famous scene showed Khalifa wearing a hijab while performing explicit sex acts.

Having been born in Lebanon before her family moved to the US in 2001, she claimed this video led to her essentially being backlisted from the Middle East.

Although she said she didn’t receive anything ‘official’ from countries to tell her she’s not welcome, the star previously told Louis Theroux that security agencies recommended she didn’t go.

During a previous interview with her friend Megan Abbott, she said it was ‘like wildfire’ as soon as the video was posted with ISIS apparently sending ‘death threats’.

“They sent me a Google Maps image of my apartment,” Khalifa claimed.

"I stayed in a hotel for two weeks after that because fear really set in."

And since then, it caused her to change the way she saw things, especially with trolls often sending her offensive messages on social media.

"I don't sweat the small stuff anymore, things people say don't offend me,” she explained.

“I always think 'OK, but are you ISIS? Are you going to kill me? No, move on'."

She also told The New York Times that when she entered the adult industry in October 2014, the scene caused her to be ‘infamous by accident’.

“Very quickly I was pressured to perform in a video where the context was that I was an Arab veiled woman,” she explained.

“The intent was to exploit the fact that I was Arabic and spoke Arabic, and I went through with it.

"Not long after, I would say maybe a couple hours after it premiered, the avalanche started.”
