Natasha Lyonne has spoken out about reports that she had to be ‘escorted off a Delta flight’ because she was ‘out of it’, slamming the page that first posted the news.
Lyonne for years was best known for American Pie but has had a massive TV renaissance in the last decade.
This saw her appear on the hit Netflix shows Orange is the New Black, Russian Doll, and will now see her join the cast of HBO’s Euphoria for the newest season.
The celebrity attended the show’s season three premiere but made headlines for all the wrong reasons after she was accused of being hauled off a flight.

Lyonne has been open about her battles with addiction in the past, having relapsed in January of this year following ten years of sobriety and releasing a statement about how ‘recovery is a lifelong process’.
A report from Page Six claimed that she was escorted off the flight after failing to respond to flight attendants, with the celebrity gossip page stating that passengers heard Lyonne ask ‘where am I’ when being woken up by crew.

The report also claims that, after she was escorted off the plane without incident, the captain gave an announcement saying: “We have a passenger who, for whatever reason… wouldn’t follow some basic commands.
“We had a passenger who didn’t seem up to the task tonight, so that’s why they were asked to be booked on another flight.
“I do apologize for the inconvenience, but we will get you to New York as quickly and as safely as possible.”
Lyonne hit out at the stories, posting to X: “My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports.
“Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with Drew Barrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards. Who owns page six/New York Post now again?”
Lyonne had been scheduled for an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show the day after the premiere which ended up being cancelled.
Fans rushed to Lyonne’s support on social media after she fired shots at two of the first pages who published the story about her ordeal, both of whom are owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
One fan replied on X saying: “you are so f*cking loved and treasured.”

Another simply said: “Hope you’re doing alright!”
The Euphoria actor has been open about her struggles with alcohol addiction and drug abuse, being arrested in 2001 for a DUI and entering rehab in 2006 for ‘methadone treatment and rehab for drug and alcohol abuse’.
Speaking to The Times in 2024 she said: “Eventually, I made it through those dark nights of the soul.”
