Pamela Anderson has slammed the accusations that she faked a relationship for a ‘PR stunt’.
The star was recently swept up within speculation she was dating Liam Neeson as the pair did press for Naked Gun together.
Oh, come on, we all had a bit of a soft spot for the pair over the summer, as they gave off real romantic vibes during the various interviews and premieres for the comedy film.
It really did feel like they were leaning it to, with Neeson giving a rather telling answer when asked if he was dating Anderson, and friends of his late wife (Natasha Richardson) suggesting they were ‘stanning’ it.

But it was also widely suggested, particularly after the press tour came to an end, that the whole thing was just for publicity.

It’s not exactly uncommon for actors to help spin the rumour mill by leaning into the hearsay that they’re dating to promote a film (we’re looking at you, Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney).
And with Anderson and Neeson seemingly having a lot of fun with their ‘spark’ during interviews, it seemed pretty fair to believe they were just doing the same thing.
However, the Baywatch star has absolutely shut down the idea of this during her acceptance speech at the 51st Deauville American Film Festival in France.

The 58-year-old was awarded the Deauville Talent Award on Friday (5 September) and took the opportunity to make things crystal clear.
“I do not and will never feed into PR stunts,” Anderson said. “That would be a death sentence. I’m authentically driven. I’m superstitious when it comes to love. And I’m not comfortable sharing any shred of my romantic life.”
The star went on to say she’ll continue to ‘fall in love again and again on screen’ as ‘that is my job’.

“If we do it well, you will feel it, a kind of projection,” she added.

Anderson called the romance speculation the ‘greatest compliment’ as she continued: “So please think positive. And I appreciate your good wishes. There are no silly games being played. I’m sincere.”
When asked about the dating rumours during an appearance on the Today show, Neeson said: “We met on set and we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry as two actors.
“Like ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mould this. Let’s just let it breathe,’ and that’s what we did.”
Well, I wouldn’t be complaining if we got to see more of their ‘chemistry as actors’ again.
