Paris Jackson is known for being quite open about her past struggles with substance abuse, as she's now updated fans with her sobriety progress.
The only daughter and second child of Michael Jackson, she has urged others in similar situations to her to stay strong.
While the 27-year-old is celebrating six years of sobriety, she has sent a message out to those dealing with their own mental health battles, reminding them that they are 'not alone'.

The model and actress has amassed a large following on social media over the years, with over 5.7 million followers on Instagram alone.
Paris has previously spoken about numerous aspects of her childhood as well as her previous addiction to drugs, which had left a gaping hole in her septum.

In a video posted in 2025, she shared a hole in her nose, explaining that she has a 'loud whistle' when she breathes through it: "That is because I have what is called a perforated septum."
Using a light to shine through the hole in her nose, she moved so it would be in the camera's view, later saying: "Don't do drugs, kids."
The 'Hit Your Knees' singer's condition can be caused by infections, injuries, nose conditions, picking your nose and drug misuse, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Marking the start of 2026 and her sixth year sober, Paris has now taken to Instagram to post a reel featuring events from the past 12 months to celebrate her journey.
She stated in the description: "Getting sober ain’t always the indication that life is perfect."
Paris said that 'a few years in', it started to get difficult for 'what felt like an eternity', adding: "I didn’t have the same survival skills, I was used to having to cope. I had to learn to live life on life’s terms.
"Treatment-resistant major depressive disorder is a b***h, so is PTSD and OCD. If you’ve got this s**t or anything of the sort, you’re not alone. Hang in there, and if no one’s told you they love you today, I love you."
This update follows on from the American Horror Stories star beginning last year with a before-and-after video of her journey battling drug and alcohol addiction at the five-year mark.

In that post, she noted that 'it’s because I’m sober that I get to smile today', adding that she gets to feel things again.
"I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all its glory. I get to grieve. I get to laugh. I get to dance. I get to trust. I feel the sun on my skin and it’s warm," Paris pointed out.
Noting that she can now 'show up' for life, Paris has also spoken about the long-term issues caused by her drug use, as it has 'ruined' aspects of her life.
Last year, she also made headlines after revealing she was 'zero per cent involved' in the upcoming biopic Michael, about her late father's journey to superstardom.
