Perez Hilton spoke about feeling ‘overwhelmed’ due to move to Miami weeks before being hospitalised

Perez Hilton spoke about feeling ‘overwhelmed’ and being in ‘a bit of a spiral’ in a video posted just weeks before he was hospitalised.
The 48-year-old celebrity blogger was taken into hospital on Tuesday (4 August) following reports of self-harm during a livestream on TikTok.
Officers spent around four hours responding to the callout at Hilton's home in Miami, according to police dispatch audio obtained by People.

Graphic video footage from the livestream, which is too explicit to include, appeared to show Hilton covered in blood.
Hilton also appeared to have cuts across his arms and torso.
Following his hospitalisation, a YouTube video from June has resurfaced in which Hilton, real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, spoke about his recent move from Las Vegas to Miami.
“I fell off the wagon in every sense, but I’m back,” he said.
“I was in a bit of a spiral, because I was overwhelmed with our move to Miami and I didn’t do these things that I know are good for me.”
In the clip, Hilton appeared positive and said that he had returned to the gym, been to church, and read the bible
“I felt really good leaving the gym this morning,” he added.
“And even better leaving church - a new church. And it was nearly a two-hour service and I was a little bit anxious but more soothed and inspired and centred than anything.”
The dad-of-three announced he turned to religion back in April after a 21-day hospital stay where he battled sepsis after developing a stomach ulcer.
Hilton said ‘God presented Himself’ to him during his health scare and that it had prompted him to reflect on his past behaviour.
He said: “I made a lot of mistakes in my past. We all have. Nobody's perfect. But my mistakes are very public. The internet is forever.
"Receipts are forever. I carry with me deep shame and regret. I'm sorry, I will continue to apologise. I have also reached out to make amends."
Hilton told viewers that he believed that God had 'forgiven him' for his errors in judgement, while adding: "And almost more importantly, I have forgiven myself."
Perez's family has issued a statement
Earlier today, Hilton’s family issued an update on his condition following the hospitalisation.
"Many of you have reached out with concern for Perez, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers," the Hilton team and family said.
"We can confirm that Perez is receiving medical care, and our family’s focus right now is on his well-being.
"We kindly ask that you respect Perez’s privacy, as well as the privacy of his family, during this difficult time.
"If and when we are able to share any updates, we will do so with everyone as soon as we can.
"Thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued support."
