There's nothing wrong with a good old fashioned steak dinner as a little treat every now and then, but if you're planning a trip to Salt Bae's restaurant, it might have to be a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
The Turkish butcher and chef first went viral back in 2017 for sprinkling salt on meat, which I'd say emphasises how weird the internet was back then but its arguably only got worse, given that people are now paying money for Sydney Sweeney's bathwater.
Well, eight years on and it seems as if the internet personality is still clinging on to some stardom, even if he wasn't quite able to make it into a Champions League final party recently.

Now, I understand that things are getting more and more expensive for restaurant and pub owners, with Jeremy Clarkson also facing backlash for the cost of a roast dinner at his pub, but his prices look like a trip to Poundland compared to Salt Bae's.
Obviously, depending on what you order, things are going to change but if you fancied just going for the vibes and ordering some water and a side, it's still going to set you back a hell of a lot.
Salt Bae - real name Nusret Gökçe - has also expanded his brand all over the world and even has a spot in London.

On one particular occasion last year, Salt Bae shared a customer's receipt from his Nusr-Et restaurant in Dubai that totalled a frankly ridiculous AED398,630 (£85,000).
The butcher hasn't said much about his extortionate prices other than in the caption of the post, which read. "Money comes, money goes."
He is also keen to remind those hating on social media that he left school as 12 to work as a butcher's apprentice so he could help his family out with the bills.
"I woke up at 6 o’clock, two hours on the train commute and 30 minutes after the train on the bus. Then all day long, standing and working. No day off and no vacation," he told The Times in 2019.
Considering five still waters set the diners back £50, it's perhaps no surprise that the steaks came with some extra juicy prices.

Three golden steaks totalled just over £1,000, while over £50k was spent on just three bottles of wine. Pornstar Martinis also set the diners back nearly £100, a fee which would probably get you cataclysmically drunk at your local Spoons.
The diners clearly enjoyed their service too as they dropped just over £18k in tips. How nice it must be to not care at all about money?
While some users shared cry-laughing emojis, many were quick to comment their thoughts on the bill.

One person commented: "In my opinion the service there doesn’t not deserve a 90k tips."
Another said: "Shameful as millions of people suffer from hunger."
And a third added: "That would fed at least 100,000 children in hunger around the world! How embarrassing!"
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Imagine being this wealthy... and then blowing it on overpriced food."
