An insider has lifted the lid on what it's really like to be part of a super-secretive society for men, which is believed to have a whole host of A-list members.
The Bohemian Club is an exclusive club for the rich and powerful, founded by journalists, artists and musicians all the way back in 1872.
Located in the remote Sonoma County, north of San Francisco, California, is the club's private camp, Bohemian Grove, which is host to the club's annual two-week encampment retreats.
The residential retreats first started eight years after the Bohemian Club began, as a big send off for an actor who was moving to New York and over time are believed to have welcomed big names in business, politics and entertainment, with members of the club allowed to bring guests.

American writer Mark Twain is said to be one of the earliest members of the club, and since then most of secret society's members have been completely under wraps, until a bombshell list alleging to name 2,000 members and the camps they belonged to, was made public.

Now, an insider has spoken the California Post about what life inside the exclusive club is really like, while explaining how the A-list camps actually work.
The anonymous insider said: “You have to be a member of the club to be a member of the camp. Your friends then ask you to join their camp if they want."
While little is known about what actually goes on at these events, conspiracy theories have long claimed the group resembles an illuminati-style organisation, which is responsible for making many of the major decisions that affect the world we live in, due to the number of powerful decision makers who attend.
According to the source, this is somewhat true, however he denied that business deals are ever made at the camp as this is strictly not allowed.

“I think that’s fair, but I would say this… you are forbidden to speak about business. Nobody solicits business at the club. You’d be thrown out," he said.
"Someone would turn you in. The organisation doesn’t want people coming and using it as a way to get business."
However, the insider did confess the club likes to have politicians, heads of state and military leaders in its midst, so they can discuss any current affairs in a private setting.
“I think members are fascinated that the public is so obsessed with it because the organisation is devoted to arts, drama, theatre and music," he continued. "So it’s amusing to members there that people are so fascinated."
Throughout its history, reporters have attempted to infiltrate the club, including the likes of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who managed to break in back in 2000.

He claims he witnessed satanic rituals and an effigy being burnt, however the camera man who was with him insisted it was more like an 'overgrown frat party,' with 'pseudo-pagan' events.
According to the insider, the Bohemian Club is 'no different than being in any other club,' revealing that one man had been kicked out for 'jumping and swimming in the lake in front of the owl shrine.'
Another member was suspended for breaking the 'no electronics' rule by bringing in a mobile phone.
The club has been criticised for only allowing male members, and the insider said he believes women won't be allowed to join any time soon.
"I can’t tell you why," he said. "I think it would be a good idea, it’s just been that way forever.”
