Shia LaBeouf leaked email conversation between himself and Alec Baldwin after they had fall out

Be careful what you say if you're ever conversing with Shia LaBeouf, as he isn't shy about sharing the contents of your discussion with the entire world.

Unfortunately for Alec Baldwin, he found this out the hard way back in 2013 when he became embroiled in a feud with the Transformers star over their 'creative differences'.

The actors were both set to star in the Broadway production Orphans, with LaBeouf playing the role of Treat and Baldwin portraying Harold.

However, Ben Foster ultimately ended up replacing LaBeouf, 38, in the play, as the child star dramatically left the project during rehearsals.

And it was all down to the slanging match he had with Baldwin after they ended up butting heads over their performance styles.

Shia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin's 'feud'

LaBeouf reportedly didn't think his co-star was putting enough into Orphans and, according to Baldwin, he blew up about it in front of the cast and crew.

The Beetlejuice actor, 66, previously told New York Magazine (via ABC News): "One day, he attacked me in front of everyone.

"He said, 'You’re slowing me down, and you don’t know your lines - and if you don’t say your lines, I’m just going to keep saying my lines'. We all sat, frozen.

"I snorted a bit, and, turning to him in front of the whole cast, I asked, ‘If I don’t say my words fast enough, you’re going to just say your next line?’ I said. ‘You realise the lines are written in a certain order?’ He just glared at me."

Less than a month before the Broadway show was scheduled to open, it was announced that LaBeouf would 'not be continuing with the production'.

The Even Stevens star then shared a cryptic post on X seemingly alluding to his feud with Baldwin, which read: "The theatre belongs not to the great but to the brash," and when asked about it, Baldwin didn't hold back, comparing his former co-star to a 'celebrity chef'.

He told Vulture at the time: "[LaBeouf] came into a rehearsal room for six or seven days. Some of the greatest movie stars had really serious theatre careers, and still do.

"And many film actors, though, who are purely film actors, they’re kind of like celebrity chefs, you know what I mean? You hand them the ingredients, and they whip it up, and they cook it, and they put it on a plate, and they want a round of applause. In the theatre, we don’t just cook the food and serve it.

"You go out in the garden and you plant the seeds and you grow it. You know, it’s a really very, very long, slow, deliberate - it’s the opposite of film acting."

This may have turned out to be a bit of a bad move on Baldwin's part, as a series of private email exchanges were then leaked on social media by LaBeouf.

What did the emails say?

In his first post, the actor suggested that the play's director Daniel Sullivan had agreed with his remarks about Baldwin's efforts, as he said Baldwin wasn't 'nearly as prepared as' LaBeouf.

In another thread between Baldwin and LaBeouf, the 30 Rock star complained that he was 'so f***ing tired', to which LaBeouf said: "I'm a hustler. I don't get tired. I'm 26, chief."

Baldwin then fired back saying: "Listen, boy. I'm not your f***in' chief. You got that? Ha. Hahahahaha. Let's go."

LaBeouf responded saying 'yes sir' before seemingly forwarding this email on to Sullivan, alongside the message: "I think he's nervous."

After the conversations were posted online for the whole world to pour over, Baldwin expressed his frustrations in a short statement, telling The New York Times: "Regarding of what people feel about the events that happened, you expect communications to be private, because everyone wants this process to be as collegial as possible.

"Everyone is very sad about what's happened."
