Sydney Sweeney has revealed her true thoughts about filming nude scenes and whether or not it impacts her confidence as an actor.
The 27-year-old actor shot to fame playing Cassie Howard in coming-of-age drama Euphoria, alongside Zendaya, Jacob Elordi and Alexa Demie, a role which required her to be comfortable with filming explicit scenes, often with little to now clothing on.
Sweeney's portrayal of Cassie may have led to awkward conversations with her parents - chiefly, her father turning the TV off and walking out of the room after organising a very awkward family viewing party - however, the role was absolutely worth it for the actor, as she's since gone on to star in Anyone But You, The White Lotus and Immaculate.

And it would appear the role has also helped her significantly when it comes to developing her confidence.
Speaking in a new interview with W magazine, the actor was quizzed about whether or not its hard to act while not wearing clothes. Which for most of us, the idea of wearing nothing but modesty coverings while in a busy set sounds like something cooked up from our deepest nightmares.
But for Sweeney? Surprisingly not.
"I think that I have gained so much confidence and self awareness through [playing] Cassie," she explained. "I think that the female body is a very powerful thing."

Sweeney continued: "I think that for me I'm telling my character's story and so I owe it to them to tell it well and do what needs to be done."
This isn't the first time in which The Handmaid's Tale actor has opened up about filming nude scenes, telling The Hollywood Reporter that her only wish is for the public to change their perception of actors who do them.
"I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry," she explained, adding that she has 'no problem' with the inclusion of explicit scenes in a script.
Explaining that viewers sometimes seem to forget to differentiate between Sweeney as a person and her characters, she continued: "People forget that I’m playing a character, they think, 'Oh, she gets naked onscreen, she’s a sex symbol' and I can’t get past that."

Sweeney will be seen on our screens as Cassie for the final time in upcoming months in the not-so-distant future, with leaked images from the Euphoria set sending fans into a frenzy speculating about her character's upcoming storyline.
