Actress Sydney Sweeney has set the record straight on whether or not she's had plastic surgery after social media users claimed she 'looks different'.
It's no secret that the internet loves to scrutinise celebrities, casting speculation on everything from their relationships to changes in their appearance.
And the latest Hollywood star to fall under the social media spotlight is Euphoria and The White Lotus star Sydney Sweeney.

The 28-year-old has whole Reddit threads dedicated to comparing pictures from her teenage years with recently taken snaps. While some users think the star looks pretty natural, others take wild guesses about the cosmetic procedures they think she's had done.
In one thread, a user penned: "Sydney Sweeney so obviously has both Botox and filler. She has almost no lines in her forehead and her upper lip is significantly bigger than photos of her as a teen and child."
Another wrote: "The nose job is obvious I feel. And the lip filler. But it all looks amazing and natural."
And a third said: "She has fillers lmao. It’s just not extreme like others."

Now, in an interview with Variety, Sweeney has responded to the plastic surgery rumours, setting the record straight on social media speculation.

"I’ve never gotten anything done," she said. "I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing.
"I’m going to age gracefully."
The actress continued: "It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like 'comparison pictures.'

"I’m like, 'I’m 12 in that photo. Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.'"

Sweeney also refuses to 'apologise' for being a 'sex symbol.'
She said that because she plays 'a lot of very divisive characters,' she reckons many people 'think they know' her.
"But they don’t," she said. "So when people think, 'Ah, she’s a sex symbol,' or 'She’s leaning into that, I’m like, 'No, I just feel good and I’m doing it for myself and I feel strong.'"

She added that she hopes she is able to inspire other women to be confident.
"And just flaunt what they got and feel good because you shouldn’t have to apologise or hide or cover up in any room.
"Being an actress, it’s a lot harder to stand in the room and demand your worth and for people to look at you and value you. I have to remind myself like, 'Hey, Syd, you’re actually powerful. Stand up a little taller.'"
