Wayne Lineker spent over a week in intensive care after thinking he had caught Covid.

The Ibiza club owner revealed the illness 'completely knocked' him out and he 'could not walk at that time'.

Lineker believes he caught the 'very bad infection' while on a flight from Mauritius to Dubai before he was eventually taken to hospital in an ambulance as he thought he was heaving a heart attack.

Here, the 63-year-old says he was diagnosed with 'chronic pneumonia' and admitted to intensive care' where he spent 10 days.

The brother of footballer Gary Lineker added on Instagram Stories: "Now have been moved to a respiratory ward It's only now that I have felt confident enough in my recovery that I can let everybody know I have been speaking and having visits from my family and close friends."
