The woman who was kicked off stage for looking unimpressed during Usher’s seductive dance routine has explained why she reacted how did she, admitting that it ‘would have been different’ if Chris Brown had invited her up.

Gabrielle Cheyenne went along to see Usher and Chris Brown on their joint The R&B Tour in Nashville on Saturday 25 July.

Those of you familiar with the two artists will know that during their live performances they typically select a woman from the audience and perform a pretty NSFW dance for them on stage.

On Saturday, Cheyenne was chosen and pulled on stage at the packed out area while a topless Usher began dancing on her.

However, Cheyenne looked unimpressed by the performance and it didn’t go unnoticed by Usher who stopped what he was doing and told the crowd: "I don't think she wanna be on stage."

He then walked off and signalled for Cheyenne to leave the stage.

Footage of the awkward moment was shared online, with many folks questioning why she agreed to go up there in the first place.

“Why did she agree to go up? What was she hoping to happen?” one asked.

A second said: “Why is she even there, most likely front row, if she’s not ready for that to happen?”

Cheyenne has since revealed that she hadn’t paid to be in the VIP section but had been ‘upgraded’ once she arrived.

In an interview with TMZ, she said prior to being selected she hadn’t been given any instructions on what was about to happen.

"You also don't know who you're going on stage for or with," she said.

Cheyenne then revealed that things would have been different had it been Chris Brown who invited her on to the stage.

“Me, solely, I went to the concert for Chris Brown,” she shared.

“It’s nothing against Usher or anything like that but I’m more of a Chris Brown fan than I am of Usher.

“So of course, it would have been a different reaction with Chris Brown.

"It wouldn't have been the stiffness or whatever the internet is portraying.”

In a Facebook livestream last night (Monday 27 July) Cheyenne shared her side of the story and explained why she got up on stage.

“It was literally a once in a lifetime opportunity,” she said.

“That’s not something that you can just wake up and do every day. That just doesn’t happen, you can go to a million concerts and never get pulled on stage.”

Cheyenne went on to say that her initial response on social media, which has since been deleted, was posted during a moment of ‘frustration’.

“I woke up to my phone and everyone in the city bashing me and calling me out of my name and disrespecting me,” she said.

“It started with one person and went from there. The image portrayed of me isn’t correct.”

Cheyenne, who confirmed that she wasn’t married as some people had claimed online, said the incident had been ‘blown way out of proportion’.

“It was never supposed to be this big,” she said during the 45-minute long livestream.

“I got on stage with Usher. I got on stage with Usher, in front of thousands of people. Whether it was me wanting to just have the experience or me [wanting] to be seen.

"Or how do y’all know that once I got up there, I didn’t feel uncomfortable or whatever?”

Usher and Brown are currently co-headling across North America.

Brown, 37, pled guilty to affray in London last week after a 2023 altercation, but it seems as if his legal troubles haven't got in the way of his performances.
