Usher fan kicked off stage over reaction to him seductively dancing on her

Many music fans dream of the opportunity to join their heroes on the stage, but one Usher concertgoer's experience was more of a nightmare.

We've seen plenty of memorable music moments between fans and artists over the years, whether it's those kids who inexplicably can play heavy metal solos or the guy who upstaged Dave with his performance of 'Thiago Silva' at Glastonbury.

But when a woman was invited on stage by Usher at his Nashville show on Saturday (25 July), things quickly took a turn as the 'My Boo' singer went shirtless during a performance of his 2004 hit 'Can U Handle It?'.

However, she appeared pretty stiff as Usher pulled out some sensual dance moves, with the star quickly stopping, standing up and telling the audience: "I don't think she wanna be on stage."

He then walked away and signalled for the woman to leave the stage. This prompted plenty of people on social media to question why she had agreed to go up when it seemed clear that she wasn't enjoying the experience.

One said: "Now, why did she sign up to be on stage? If she didn't wanna be there you knew what it means to go on stage with Usher and Chris Brown come on now."

Another commented: "Y'all do realise that these women are willingly going on stage. She could've said NO! Why go on stage if you aren't going to participate... that was....! Yeh."

The woman, who has since been identified as Gabrielle Cheyenne, appears to have hit back at her critics on social media in a now-deleted Facebook post, writing: "First off NOBODY is declining to go on stage. I looked good asf, you though I wasn't gonna let THOUSANDS of people see me??

"On the big screen, where you b*****s will never be???"

It turns out that Cheyenne hadn't even meant to be in the VIP section, suggesting that the team had upgraded her due to 'pretty privileges'.

"My mom and I had FLOOR SEATS. Their team approached us and moved us to VIP before the show even started !! PRETTY PRIVILEGES something you h**s will never know about," she reportedly wrote, before adding: "They don't say who you're going up there for!! Y'all wanted me to get up there and f*** him atp [at this point]??"

In an Instagram Story, Cheyenne added: "Y’all aren’t gonna get on the internet calling me out my name and disrespecting me and expect me to keep it cool!

"Don’t think that yall are gonna bully me about an experience that yall didn’t get!"

She later shared a selfie on her account with the caption: "Unbothered."

Usher is currently on The R&B Tour with 'No Guidance' singer Chris Brown, in which they are co-headlining stadiums across North America.

Brown, 37, pled guilty to affray in London last week after a 2023 altercation, but it seems as if his legal troubles haven't got in the way of his performances.

Speaking of Brown, Usher said: "He's my brother, and he's amazing as a performer. That's who I see. He works hard for his fans, and his fans support him."

Usher added that the tour is 'not about me and my brother coming together. We come together in support of our fans of R&B'.
